Four episodes of pure blissful RomCom genius! Nobody does Comedy and Romance like the Brits! Robson Green and Michael Kitchen are two of the dreamiest leading men in the world of acting nowadays, and Francesca Annis is the perfect leading lady!
To see three parts and now the Sequel is joy beyond words. Everything about this series was amazing, actors, acting, story line, absolutely everything was a pleasure to watch. Thank you so much for loading this.
Thank you for this amazing series. It has been a real treat during October 2020 whilst in the midst of a world pandemic of epic proportions. A real mood lifter ⭐️🇿🇦
Apart from in Foyle's War, Michael Kitchen can always play the most urbane right bastard in Christendom! I had to laugh seeing him being boated about by kayak in the bloody Arctic! 😂 Grand touch of humour in this passionate comedy of errors. Love this sequel! Many thanks!
Its 2023 when im watching this series and sequel. Amazingly good production all around. Timeless really. The Brits know how to tell a story. Puts Hollywood to shame most especially these later years. Junk for sure. All our real actors are dead.
I do the same thing....visit it again..... And again. Many times, I must admit since it's been posted. Whenever I need a mood lifter, I turn to Reckless. My favorite series of all time!
Enjoyed it since wanted to see more of RECKLESS. Story a bit weak but there is Francesca other worldly. She is a fine British actress! A joy to watch her. She exudes a level of perfect with such ease, it’s rare. Thank you fir posting these treasures -
my conclusion--not only did you show a perfect wedding with mother in law closeby ,but you took us to the pub for an intimate moment. thank you for that part it makes the movie even greater. love you guys YOU HAVE MY OSCAR
This was absolutely priceless! Acting and storyline & brilliant characters....superb! Awesome, incredible cast with Dave Bradley & Geoffrey Palmer to top it all off! Bravo! I'll definitely watch again! Thanks so much for several wonderful hours of passion, sadness, drama & so much humor. Robson & Kitchen at their very Best!
jeanne hageman And Francesca Annis? To be honest, they’ve all done better in better films. But this is delightful. And enthralling enough. PS. I didn’t even know there was this sequel.
Fabulous series ! Remember buying it on vhs . Watched it numerous times never get tired of it . Shame it didn't carry on . Love the music too shame carnt buy the soundtrack. Thanku for great upload 💐
what a sequel,I will continually watch this sequel as long as it airs. A seriously beautiful movie and i still love all from beginning to end.thank you for recreating true love again the way i see it.directors an etc were great///thank you thank you
My aunt and her husband have been together over twenty years, and she is 15 years older than him. My late mother had a friend who was widowed in her forties, married an 18 year old and outlived him!
Never regretted Marrying my Boyfriend at the time even though my Mother did not approve. 51 Years Later. I was right. As you say Love conquers all. 🇦🇺❤️🇦🇺🌹🇬🇧
mckavitt my pleasure. I just started watching from the beginning last night myself. A great go-to romance that truly never gets old. Thanks for watching. :)
For anybody interested, the actual age difference between Anna and Owen is 19 years 7 months - that'd mean Owen would have been around 32 and Anna around 52 at the time this was made. Thank you Uploader, this has been a brilliant TV Series and I really enjoyed it.
Yes! She was playing a few years younger, indeed. What's funny, I think, is with all of the fuss made over it, Francesca Annis ended up aging very well and looks terrific today at 76, and Robson Greene, while still handsome, definitely looks older than his age! They would make a perfect couple still! So glad you've enjoyed the series.
Do you think if Francesca Annis had met Robson Green for the first time as actors and she was single , would it evolve into a passionate relationship that would remain or not ? I heard she liked younger men ? In your opinion does Anna Crane match Francesca Annis ?
I am glad they ended up together. People should realize that there are men out there who are sincere about marrying an older woman and I'm one of those men. Hopefully I find her soon. Love this show btw.
I'm surprised that no one has sutured Danny's lips shut. He is definitely a ship-sinker. And also that a surgeon would risk frostbitten fingers to prevent a marriage. Wonders never cease!
Thanks I enjoyed that ! Can't resist a couple of comments : I don't think a translator into English would have been necessary in Iceland. Francesca Annis looks exactly the same in everything she does. Also the American Introduction was superfluous. Other than that, great.
Class acting, class writing, which is why the Brits do "amazing crime" dramas. Commpare Francesa Anis with Nicole "can't move my face" in The Undoing Once again thanks for the upload.
I'm rather displeased with how low they made Richard Crane stoop, even after he divorced, he was still blocking the relationship. He can't be that needy, his relationship with Anna had cracks all the years.
Enjoyed the mini series and the sequel, very much.... Leading lady was beautifully, elegant with acting ability, like the rest of the cast. Awesome script with touches of humor....Only criticism in the original story the guitar strumming background was very annoying...Still... Worth The Watch...
One year on in their lives, Owen and Anna make impulsive plans to marry. But Anna's ex-husband Richard Crane has other ideas. Exploiting their weak spots, he schemes to tear the couple apart. Can Anna and Owen survive this emotional trauma to become man and wife?
Bophrey Humgart Yeah, I too think Geoffrey Palmer is better looking & v. different in character effect. He never really looks as loose limbed as Matthau managed to do. Like them both, but GP has my vote for suavity.
Saw this beautiful lead actress Annis in a live Shakespeare production yonks ago.......and she was wonderful then too!!!! what is that saying? It is better to love and give of yourself (sharing some joy, fun, happiness) perchance to lose...than never risk giving and loving at all...(the song "the rose" floats into my days.... warning me) Her sister handcuffed at the church wedding was a comic touch.
Owen didn't deserve her. All he ever did was tell her, in a pained, resentful, arrogant voice, "I love you Anna" - as if his desperate need was all that the world needed to know. Love how the writers gave Richard such a compassionate ending, with him able to say goodbye to Anna with the lonely wisdom of a man who has finally become a father, so late in life. Owen's dad - stole the show, didn't he? - so fine! Anna's mom too.
Well, it doesn't really sound like Richard deserved her either. Remember from part three of RECKLESS: "I refuse to believe she can get over this without me. Now, that's not arrogance; that's devotion." No, it's not. It's Donald Trump in British form: someone who thinks he always has to "win."
It would be bloody grand if they do yet another sequel on Anna getting pregnant unexpectedly to this wedding episode. I just want to see the cute couple's story keep going... But of course, that would make the film a "famaily" genre instead of "romance."
The actor who played John had his teeth whitened in this sequel. How much do I love this mini serials because of Annis? Yea, that level of attention to details.
This reminds me of an old country song by Jim Stafford called My Girl Bill. A line from the lyrics…who we love and why we love it’s not for us to understand.. Great series, thanks so much.
My goodness. After watching the previous episodes and now the movie, by the time these two finally married I felt like a wrung out dishrag! 😄 Great fun to watch. Thank you for posting these.
Crazy and Cool, but a bummer to see Michael Kitchen as an upercrust git after his perfect persona in Foyles War. Honeysuckle Weeks is also much missed.
who wouldn't LOVE to see a 2022 installment with Anna and Owen's daughter (since they leave the door open for that possibility) bring home her fiance--Crane's son?
People have patterns of behaviour. They cheat once, they'll do it again. Forgiving it is giving tacit permission for them to do it again & get forgiveness, again.
I love Robson Green and his acting. He always reminds of a young Paul Newman a bit. But when he did BBC "Wire in the Blood" Series, Omgosh that was incredible! I just hated when it ended. They did get somewhat gruesome toward the last few series though, which I didn't like. Mainly because I feel some of these psychos get their ideas from what is seen in movies, on TV & internet. It would be nice to calm things down a bit, especially USA Hollywood (and I'm American), in hopes less killings happen. I didn't know this was a sequel or would have watched long ago. Loved the first one and going this by accident. ALTERNATE ENDING COMMENT: I would have loved for her to have whispered in his ear on the dance floor at the end.... I'm pregnant (is not knowing but suspecting what she said, then fade out with that look of shock and horror, only Robson can give. Then we could have had #3 with a surprise of twins... boy and girl. Perfect ending to a great romantic comedy movie!!! Thanks so much for sharing this!
Robson Green was the reason I watched. He is dreamy and had me vicariously enjoying being his woman (though I would have tossed her ex, for good, far sooner).
this is good .ive watched it a few times .i think its great /what i dont understand is why is richard . acting this way .it was him who was having an affair .he even had a baby boy with his mistress wet when his wife feel in love .he took it so hard /let her be happy /
