Reclaiming an out of control garage 

I remember when we used to park cars in our garages lol.

Here’s something I figured out about garage cleaning that’s been a game changer…use the leaf blower. Once you sweep up the big dirt you can go crazy with it. I use it on the walls and ceiling…and then the floor. Amazingly it won’t move your stuff around…but it does a fantastic job of getting things clean. Wear a face mask though. Great job!

For anyone who is equally in love with and used to his no music style videos - the way I got through this was to watch it at 2x speed to crank the music up to hilarious beats 🙂 I love relaxing to his no music videos so much and am so thankful that is what he sticks with now. - Housewife and Mom from Ohio

The stuff you pointed at and said was going to the dump, put out at the end of your driveway and put a sign on it that says FREE STUFF, and it will probably be gone by the end of the day

I tend to keep boxes incase I have to send something back. When I moved I had boxes for stuff that had broken years before and been replaced with new boxes. Since I moved I try not to do that anymore. I love watching these videos, always makes me want to jump up and clean something…….until my back reminds me why I don’t!

If you haven’t used it in the last five years chances are your never going to use it, get rid of it! I’ve been declutter lately and it feels great.

Yes, the furniture etc would be picked up if put at the front of the property. I work on furniture I find and reuse it or give it away afterwards. Love free stuff !!

Wow! That looks like a normal garage at our house. I didn’t know we were “out of control” 😂

Best thing I ever did in my garage was, after 20 years living in the house, totally empty it out to have it epoxied. We went to the POD to store the stuff we wanted to keep and got rid of 80% of the junk. Then we were able to organize stuff when we put it all back. Decluttering is always very satisfying.

Hii. great job.I've been doing deep cleaning and binge watching you Aurie and Barbie. One thing I did come away with now I'm dating myself back in the 90"s TLC had this show and for the life of me I can't remember the name of it. But they took everything and made 3 piles trash, keep and donate. I loved that show what I didn't realize is that I have carried those principles with me to this day. In watching all your shows I'm realizing my clutter is not really full blown clutter because I've been doing this regularly it does get messy but I don't save a lot of stuff something comes in the broken or not used goes out. Not only did I enjoy your video but I realized I'm not so bad with the keeping of the "not used stuff" Checking off my to do list along with you guys. Have a great day.

Great job! It's a great feeling when you have space in the garage. I realized that when a living space is cleared, mice will have a harder time finding a place to hide; especially in the garage. Also, just wanted to mention a hack for reducing dust when sweeping. Just use a spray bottle with water. It truly helps!

A Canadian here is there not recycling pick ups that go along with your garbage pickup. Watching a couple of other RU-vidrs collecting metal I’m always amazed at all the stuff I see left out for pickup and no recycling bins

Well you just kicked my ass into doing something. My "garage" or morge like shed (it's tiny) looks just as cluttered. It seemed like a massive job to me, but you just did all that work while you're not feeling well 😅 I need to get off my lazy ass RIGHT NOW!

Clean up clean up. I love turning around and seeing the furniture shine , the bed dine up so pretty and the floors Shiney clean and clean smelling home.

Bingewatching to get some emotional energy to clean my own garage. It was clean until I had to put part of my late parents house in it.

My fort needs a once over. My mistake is I watch you and think see? It took him 20 minutes...I have developed the 4 ft rule. I start in one corner. And clean everything in that wall space 4 ft. Top to bottom, windows, walls base boards. floor. It may take me an hour, it may take me 20 min. All I am concerned with is that 4 ft. THEN I start on the middle once all the walls are sorted, shelves are shined up, thanks to the alcohol, water and Dawn recipe. So far. It is working,..and I am not overwhelmed. Yet.

I see you have several tank set ups. I have a 29 tall in my storage. I love having fish. I used to have a 100 gallon all glass aquarium that I had oscars in. I could put anything in there 😅. Unfortunately I sold tank, fish, stand everything for $300 because I was afraid my son would break it. When he was a teenager and got mad at me he would look for anything of mine he could break and I didn’t want 100 gallons of water in my living room 😢. I wish I still had it

Wow. Looks great! Where I live, I can pretty much set anything outside by the curb and someone's going to come by and take it.

There is a house a block away from my apartment complex who has garage sales every season. I call it "Everything falls out of the Garage" garage sales, I mean literally. It is worse than this one. He collects and hoards things to sell.

I think you would enjoy Marie Kondo’s book - Spark Joy. People seem to have trouble throwing boxes out- it makes a space so much tidier when they’re gone.

I refinished the hello fresh boxes. I struggled every week because I would think the same thing…such a good box, we may need a box like this, I think I’ll flatten it and it will store better. Then the insulation (that sometimes varied) I was torn, will my garbage place take this is true recycling? Maybe I can use it??? 😢😢😢that’s when I know I need to step back and re-evaluate the cardboard situation. 😐😐😐. Thank you for another great clean up.
