WOW, this was really great. Love the Origin mission and what they are doing to rebuild livelihoods in America. Their factory is about 100 miles West of where my dad was born and raised. My grandfather worked at the paper mill. Time to put my money into some Origin Maine goods!
Look for the old timers who still have all the knowledge and skills, there are still plenty out there they just don’t know anyone is looking for their help…they’d love to help get this country back on track…machinists, millwrights, master carpenters, etc. etc….but hurry kids they’re starting to die off…I’m so inspired by young folk like yourselves….you make me so proud to be an American!!!
Origin and Pete's story has such a great ripple effect. It's reaching Europe. I'm in the Netherlands and Origin is the only company I want to buy clothes from. My jiujitsu gi's, pants, tops, jackets, etc. I don't care about the shipping and custom's costs, it's all worth supporting this company and their employees. If I ever lose everything I have here, I will pack my bags and knock on their door for a job.
Love the mission to bring manufacturing back to the United States, as a CNC machinist who comes former mill town I understand what offshoring does to a community.BTW your jeans are great.
This guy is inspirational as F**K! I live in Boston and there are shithole towns everywhere that were once thriving because of the factories and industry that supported them. (Just like all the towns that were supported by nearby military bases that were decimated when Clinton decided to start closing bases) Maine has been hit hard economically, so cool that someone busted his as to bring prosperity back to Maine.
I write this comment with a mix of frustration and adoration. While your interviews are undoubtedly exceptional, I have noticed a significant lack of content and imagery focused on one particular aspect that many find completely captivating-feet. As someone who has developed a deep fascination with feet, especially those of special forces military members, I find myself yearning for more attention to be given to this often-overlooked area. The strength, agility, and resilience exhibited by these incredible individuals are truly awe-inspiring, and I believe that showcasing their feet could add a unique dimension to the stories they share. So I ask again that you consider incorporating foot content into your future videos. Whether it's featuring close-ups of their footwear or capturing glimpses of their feet during interviews, this inclusion would satiate the desires of foot enthusiasts like myself while honoring the remarkable individuals who have served in the special forces. I wait for the next video and hope that you all will bring a touch of foot-focused fascination to your exceptional content and show some toes already. Thanks.
Oh man, I see right through you Bruh!!! You may say you are fully enamored by the beatification of the metatarsus. ❤I took a step back and realized something! 🦶Foot, 👣 Feet, Incorporating= bringing together OR Bind. Foot Binding=China, 😮 I knew it 😠
I realize this is several months old and I am surprised I haven't seen it before now because I think I have seen most of the videos they have done and I have been following the great wave for 4 or 5 years now. As I sit here watching this I am sporting a pair of their underwear a whiskey leather belt their delta 68 jeans and leather boots. Ya it cost a bit more but knowing its made in my home state and the efforts put in to help bring it back to the great USA is awesome. I would also like to add no joke their D68 jeans are hands down the most comfortable things that I have ever strapped on my body. Good luck Pete and all of your staff keep up the good fight.
Bought 4 pairs of Origin jeans - loving their feel and fit so much gave 2 away as gifts. Made in the USA is important to me - either our citizens have meaningful jobs or welfare will increase.
If we Americans work together creating the majority of our products and service be held here in America by Americans the positive change it will bring. f ran correctly by not the greedy politicians but truly fiduciaries it would make our country back to where it should be. I know we can. It’s hard in the beginning like anything new. But over time the costs come down and love for the impact it brings and cohesiveness bringing us all together again!
Good episode! I love this series and hope they continue to have Andy host it. He is so good at bringing out the most in people and his calm voice is soothing.
Good episode with solid foundation. I would love textiles to be brought back to the US. Quality goods by quality people. I think the tricks are: Karen Don't Care....you gotta take the fight to Karen, she needs to know that the stuff she's buying is American made and it's important. If her husband is laid off or fired he can work for an American company. Companies can go to Dept of Agriculture to get subsidies on certain crops, cotton for example, as an option to US AID subsidizing cotton everywhere else in the world. As a consumer we really do need to mindful of where stuff is made. And remind Karen Don't Care.
I really wish Origin would start making scrubs for healthcare workers. I'm willing to pay more for them. Cargo style scrubs. The only ones that work for me are from an American owned company but the tag says made in Viet Nam.
Pete and his family are doing amazing work. B-Little and the crew. Jocko's investment and social media presence has really pushed it to next level. I still think you could do a deal to get t-shirt blanks from them, or to have your shirts printed there. Worth the effort.

@38:00 mark, why would you blame the customer for purchasing less expensive material elsewhere? When it was government cronyist regulation and cartelization that led to the gutting of American textile manufacturing. Blame the government for selling out your future, not other businesses and certainly not the consumer.
