It can be hard to tell if you or a loved one has Parkinson's disease (PD). Join the Parkinson’s Foundation and AARP New Mexico to learn about the common early warning signs of Parkinson's. Expert speakers will help participants understand how to recognize common first symptoms of Parkinson’s and offer practical advice on how to proceed if PD is suspected.

I am in Auatralia, I am 70 and was diagnosed last year. I have tremors and cognitive difficulties and am after all the information I can get.

Iam a 43 years old male. For the past 3 years my right hand would shake. I bought this up to my doctor at Kaiser. He told me that l was young and it’s okay. Today at work my right had began to shake. It doesn’t happen often put am a fried that it might be early signs of Parkinson’s.

I’m Watching this from MD, where we just moved bc NM Drs were not willing to investigate my 58 yo husband’s years-long PD symptoms. Hopefully John Hopkins medical professionals will help us.

My hands shake on and off, sometimes I can’t say words properly and I have trouble swallowing but I can walk very fast superior for my age group 70 years old. Another thing I get very agitated sometimes and then that just goes away suddenly. My memory is getting worse and my writing is affected cuz of my hand shaking.

That sound like my uncle. Yesterday my uncle's hand kept shaking while he to pour water from one glass into another. You could visibly see the glass shaking and hear the ice bang against the glass. He had to brace his hand with the other and finally managed to the water out... He's irritable, he snaps and curses at me all the time, he mixes up his words and sometimes can't get out what he wants to say but he still walks really fast even for my pace and I'm in my 30's... I've long suspected this, but everything makes sense now.

What I'd dat scan is normal but have parkinsons symptoms but tremors only at movements?what else can it be or does it take a while to show on a datscan to confirm parkinsons due to the dopamine issues?

Tremors only with movements (action tremor) sounds like essential tremor which is what I have.. but go to a GP anyway because essential tremor has its own progression line as well which can include tremors at rest and head tremors and whole body and voice tremors too
