I'm sorry Pastor Jenkins, God told me to quit my job in 2016. I did and have not worked since. God has provided for me all the way. I relocated to another city and I still don't have a job.. I have a big dream from God, I just need to keep walking with him. Don't discourage people . If God say let the job go, let it go rather another job is lined up or not..Trust God...
God expects us to worrk and earn so we can help ourselves and others in need....."observe the ant" Hope you find a job or a business opportunity soon unless of course you're in full time Ministry.
I heard God tell me to “Go” about 15 years ago and my husband and I felt God moving us to Texas and God was truly there 🙌🏽♥️ but here is the thing, when God leads you, it’s not always pretty (think of Moses and the Israelites in the wilderness) Yes they were headed to the promise land but the glory was in the wilderness because God dwelt with them. Well we ended up in a homeless shelter because we had no family in Texas to help us when time got rough. Me, my husband and my 1 and 2 year old. But let me tell you, God showed me my purpose in my pain/ in my need. God had to put us in a place where all we had was him. How humbling! Eventually God moved us out and on to the next mission, but I gotta be honest eventually we couldn’t handle the glory God had prepared for us… or maybe it was meant to refine us as gold and what didn’t belong was exposed. Long story short following God means it’s time to be refined in the fire 🔥 so don’t boast. It’s almost like a fast in a way cause it’s uncomfortable, but it’s meant to upgrade you spiritually not necessarily to increase your status or finances. Yes God will provide but he has called us to be his light and love to provide to others as well and that is what he showed me as my purpose. All I’m saying is to make sure your heart is prepared for this ride because it ain’t pretty but it is BEAUTIFUL

@ Walter Thank you for sharing your testimony. Someone needed to know this. The bottom line is we must follow The Holy Spirit and everyone situation is different. The main thing is that we serve a faithful God. Even in transition, God is with us
If you have to wait till God provides for you to move, then that is not faith but sight. The Israelite had to step inside river Jordan before God stopped the flow.
The job advice really threw me for a loop. 🫤 God will absolutely tell someone to quit their job with no other provision in sight. It happened to me and many many others. When you disregard His divine directive in such a manner it is the opposite of faith because you are then focusing on the circumstances that you see instead of trusting the Lord’s plan. That is precisely when you run the risk of missing out on something that the Lord prepared SPECIFICALLY for you. I urge everyone to be obedient to God’s voice when he speaks to YOU. If you get confused, pray for discernment or even a sign if you want confirmation. But please do not let someone else’s experience automatically deter you from obeying the Lord - regardless of the situation. What He tells you to do may not always be easy - but we must remember that the Lord knows all and He knows best.
Amen! Agreed! The Lord is telling me to quit my job now and I don’t have any backup ! I know he’s doing this to stretch and strengthen my faith. So I’m not afraid even tho I’m a little nervous
Pretty Whitty 🎯 you are 100% correct and on point! This preacher gave poor advice about waiting to get another job! If you prayed and fasted and God’s voice led you to make a decision to walk away from a job, then you must be obedient and follow his advice! He will guide you throughout the transition and will not leave you alone! He want you to trust him and have faith that he will take care of you because he loves you as a child of God! When you are obedient and follow his word , he will take care of you regardless of what the circumstances look like! God knows what’s in store for you. @@DarlingEphraim I’m doing the same thing this year! The Lord is here to lead and guide me and I have faith in his wisdom! Anytime I get nervous, I read his word for strength and to increase my faith! He has a plan for us, and we must be obedient to his word and vision for us! God Bless you all ! 😊🙏🏾

Telling a person not to quit their job (especially if it’s what God is telling them to do) is the same as telling Peter not to get out of the boat. This bad advice would have also told the widow at Zarephath in 1 kings 17:7-17, not to give Elijah her last meal unless he FIRST provided her with proof that he would/could feed her in return. God does NOT need you to have a second job already lined up when he tells you to “quit & GO” Just like he didn’t need us to be righteous before he did for our sins
Dalton you are on point! He sounds fearful like non believers! God will never give you instructions without knowing that there is a better opportunity for you! He will never mislead you, if you are aligned with his word and obedient. I’m leaving my job after 21 years , I stayed longer than I should have and was disobedient. He will always provide and have given me guidance on preparing for my transition to semi-retirement. I am able to collect from my pension plan since I am 60 years old and will not need an immediate job to pay my bills, because God made sure that I will have the funds to maintain my home life and expenses. He will never leave you, if you follow him and have Faith in him! God bless ! 😊❤️🙏🏾
God told me to quit my jobs and my rents been paid and I’ve had food. You can’t really say “That’s not God” I refused to rest in that and found another Job and it didn’t work out. He really wanted me off work to increase my faith and show me how miraculous he can be.

I was lead to quit my job to be a stay at home mom for awhile. Crazy thing is, i was taught that a job was more important while im showed now being a mother is. I have more now without a job then when i had that $20 an hour job. Im a worker at heart but i won't put my children at risk for it.
We need to have more sound doctrine from the Bible in our churches. It says that people of depraved mind think that Godliness is a means of gain in 2 Timothy 4.

Margda Pierre, I agree! This pastor is incorrect by saying to hold on to a job, until you find another job! That’s not true if you are a true believer and servant of Christ! You can’t think like the world, when he tells you to move you should be obedient! He will provide and will never leave you or forsake you! @vetgirl the vision and provision part of his message rings or resonates with me. Not everything man says is right for everyone bc everyone has their own path. I get what he says in a general sense though, but like what you stated when you hear God and he says move, then move. You can use the example of Noah’s Ark, did he wait on something else before built the Ark? He just did what God told him to do… Do what works for you. God speaks to everybody in different ways. The way he spoke to you will probably be different for me…
Another sign of your brook drying up at the job you occupy is when they repeatedly cut your hours to the point where you’re considered getting a second job to compensate for the lack/loss of time you used to get at the first one. Two jobs is for two people. Sometimes when Yah shifts you from a job you’ll feel mentally weary of doing that particular thing. It’s not fun no more. The peace is gone and you’re just there for a check. A job is not your work. Only your gift will make room for you in the marketplace and create revenue for your business.
I’ve witnessed God lead people to quit their job with absolutely no (visible) provision in sight. I’m Not being combative, but that statement in my opinion is debatable. Do what God tells YOU to do. It may look different for each of us.

I agree Ann Marie! Everyone’s walk with God and relationship is personal and unique! His testimony and experience will not be like mine or yours. He sounds like non believers saying that you need to have a job lined up , before you quit your job. Sometimes you can’t wait for another job , when it’s your season and time to go and the Lord tell you to go! You have to go by faith and trust in him! True... However, we haveto walk by faith and night by sight. In order words, are you willing to wait on the Lord to provide for you in the wilderness. I have very little money, but the lord has provided me by Faith while most wouldn't help. " we can't put our trust in man but Trust in God. I have obeyed and help but , when it comes to me...I'm always lacking...but this is what the body ofchristrefuse todo is GIVE ACCORDING TO THE NEED LIKE THEBOOK OF ACTS. SO, the Lord will allow things to get worse until we are obedient in the wilderness!!!! ..Some people are called to full time Ministryand so, their journey may be harder and requires more faith!!!! Anyway, I pray for full time ministry. My boss is a mean Christian so, I don't like working there when she is in charge. So, I'm praying for another job
Sometimes, the provision doesn’t show up until after you trust God. Take a leave of absence to focus on what God told u to focus on. Wisdom. Not God gives it. Amen
“If God gives vision, he gives provision.” Pastor, you just saved 1000 families with that word. It’s a principle that has led my life. I moved to CA when God gave me a $250K scholarship to attend a $189K doctoral program after you advised me to attend seminary to prepare for the work God called me to do. So amen sir.
With all due respect this word regarding quitting your job until you have another isn’t biblical. But indeed the traditions of men, just because God didn’t lead you to do this doesn’t mean he wouldn’t lead another believer. Let the word of God be true and every man a liar. Sometimes the provision isn’t there until you arrive at the place. Matt 4:18-20, As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 19 “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” 20 At once they left their nets and followed him.
What about those false prophets td jakes, Joyce Myers, Joel Osteen etc... are you afraid to mention their names😮😮😮😮, really comments were turned off on that preaching of your of false prophets.. men respect the creature rather than the creator!!!
After you didn't mention those false preachers names I stopped listening to your message, maybe later you mentioned them; it is so many preachers that are fearful of man instead of The all mighty God!!!
