British composer Max Richter, who wrote the award-winning music to Ari Folman's movie "Waltz with Bashir", takes Antonio Vivaldi's masterpiece "The Four Seasons" for Recomposed into the present and makes it accessible in new ways to a new audience. At the same time, he treats the original version and its history with respect, which means that also experienced listeners of classical music can enjoy "Vivaldi Recomposed".
Joining Max Richter in this exceptional project is Daniel Hope, the British violinist. He is both a notable champion of contemporary music and an exponent of the standard classical repertoire. That makes him the ideal soloist for Richter's piece.

I am extremely impressed by recomposed version of Max Richter's Vivaldi Four Seasons which I was able to listen to in the Berliner Philharmonie. The felt the power of music.

Not being a massive fan of Vivaldi's four seasons due to the fact that it is grossly overplayed I came here with little to no expectations (almost not attempting to listen at all). All I can say is this piece stunned me, I had to stop half way through to begin the experience again. 1:55 gave me goosebumps, the feeling I got from that moment was so powerful. I am going to purchase this straight away! Thank you!

Christian Innerbichler...... For real! The recomposition of Vivaldi the Four Seasons is so amazing! This piece blew me away & also gave me goosebumps. I don't know how many times I've listened but I can keep playing this piece again & again & the feeling & experience is so euphoric. Listen to the Vivaldi 4 seasons Summer 3.... I freaking love Max Richter. I heard the 'on the nature of daylight' in Shutter Island. That was over a year ago. Since then I have fallen in love with everything he plays. This guy is so underrated.

Goosebumps at 3:15.. My whole body even the skin on my head.. I closed my eyes and it felt like my body is lighter than a feather.. No i didn't take drugs.. Vivaldi is just a genius..

I love how in this peace and especially in this recording the tempo from 1:25 on to the end is very subtly but continuously decreasing. So sensitively composed (and conducted)...

2:43 is one of the best interpretations of this piece ever. You can literally feel the music in the background growing from the floor with the drama of the violin solo rising in the middle.

I'm a little bit obsessed with this!!! I just wish this was longer!!! I notice, and I'm looking into this, the lead violinist (Daniel Hope) conducted the first bit which is the original score and back in those days of vivaldi that was normal for the conductor to be playing an instrument like the violin. But you'll notice the guy with the great beard (André De Ridder) takes over conducting when the recomposed section of the score starts.... I am utterly fascinated with this.

I know this song about summer but I felt many diffirent emotion in this version...and finally I just cryed out loud..because good and bad things attack to my memory about me ,about world and in the end I felt hope...Hope for humanity and hope for myself...you are amazing all of you..I hope one day I can join to your concert...

Who disliked this? :o This is a masterpiece on top of a masterpiece, 2 masterpieces multiplied by each other. It's a a huge statement about how civilization advances and keeps re-inventing itself... Reinventing how to make buildings, how to cure diseases, how to trade how to do everything.... and this is metaphor for that eternal movement.
