Great to see people sharing their experience on the land. We've be on acerage for 14 years lost everything that we worked for in our entire lives to the bushfires. We didn't give up and now living in our newly built home. Still heaps to do and learn. Keep it up mate, cheers.

Hi mate, very informative thanks. We recently purchased a farm at Kingaroy and looking to do the same thing to a couple of the dams. You wouldn’t still have the contact of the machine operator would you??

be careful when throwing bales in dams. It works in the short term but when breaking down the organic matter can overload nutrients in the water leading to bacterial blooms, anaerobic activity rather than aerobic. MIght need to look at a aeration system to offset this in the long run.

How much did the dam cost to build
