Hi Dave Happy belated birthday mate, looks like you had a great weekend. Nice little haul there. I only have 2 Hendrix albums - both brilliant - Are You Experiences and Electric Ladyland. My EL is on Polydor with the nudes cover - I think it's a 70s pressing. Im not sure what Reprise Records is (budget label maybe ) . Great video and thanks once again for the shout out mate.
Hiya Tone how are things with you ? Reprise was a USA Record label , I think it is still going, glad you enjoyed this video my friend, going to watch your latest video after my tea, stay safe, cheers, Dave
Nice haul of records Dave. That Who comp is on Disque D'or which specialises in sixties and seventies artists, I have a copy of the Beatles and Tony Sherdian album on that label and it does sound like they have done a bit of a remix on it. I love Belper, picked up some bargains from the Antique and Record store in my time and I have got me some amazing finds at Groove Records, like the 2 LP set of John's plastic Ono Band and a few Big Star albums, and got them all at a bargain price. Glad you had a great weekend my friend. Went to see One Hand Clapping on Saturday afternoon, and you have to see it Dave if you get the chance it was amazing.. Gotta go, Work is calling. Peace n Love. Terry....
Hi Dave, Fantastic finds from Belpher. Do you know the story of the Record label favoured original UK cover and the Jimi Hendrix favoured cover for the UK version of the album, which has been used for recent reissues of the album. There is a Beatles connection to Jimi's favoured photo for the UK album release.
Nice to see you got the Radha Krsna Temple LP. I don't know why the price is so high. I know some years have passed since I got this on CD for 10.99 at HMV. I should check the current price of this on cd. Musically I really like it. Enough said.
Hi Dave, a nice mix of goodies you have there. The Hollies “Evolution” is a great album, my original copy has been played to death and so I replaced it with a CD version. Sadly the stereo mix is awful, which on earlier Hollies CD releases are bad mixes.. Enjoy met, I’m sure you will. 👌
The Electric Ladyland and Band Of Gypsys Jimi Hendrix albums are currently available. Experience Hendrix, the company "caring for" Jimi's catalog, has many of his records still in print. They are available on Amazon.
Dave. front cover artwork on `Evolution` by `The Fool`. You need to hear opening track on side One - just incredible! Their `Sgt Pepper` was the album that followed this one, just five months later in November 1967. "Butterfly" is just amazing! Steroe copies have no banding between tracks (Like `Pepper`) but Mono copies show the banding. Dave, I implore you to track down a copy of "Butterfly" It will be well worth it. 👍👍😊😊
Still need to get to Belper ! Nice Hollies album - the who looks like side 1 of who sell out and side 1 of A quick one on one album - stay well - dropping a Beatles thread video at 3 Dave !! And being serious this time !
