Good fun video. Interesting how different collectors see the fair. I go regularly looking for r&b, soul northern etc. Well done for negotiating. This is a fair where there are some good bargains on 45s but the albums seem to be overpriced generally. I guess because of the area the market is a bit touristy. Some good streetfood for lunch.
in Nov 1989 in Bristol i went to the record fair...while i was walking to it i asked myself will i find a very rare LP by Connie Francis from Australia...the so called AWARD WINNING MOTION PICTURE HITS with Original playbacks and in stereo...i was about to walk in when there and behold i saw it in a bin in the entrance, unfortunately it had a deep scratch on the last track, apart from that it was in Ex++++ condition and i paid 12 pounds. A few years later i found on line a m/m copy of it in 10 pounds. i was thrilled to bits. In 1996 just before Bear Family had the 2nd box cd's of her 1960--1962 i got a call from Bear family if i could lend the lp to them as they could not find the session/album masters to incl. i said yes and i sent them the lp via registered post...and the rest is history. they returned it ok and added my name in the boxe's acknowledgements. furthering they sent me the 1950's and this set free of charge. greetings from Greece
