Ooh looks like you made out this year! Did you notice any variation in your line this year? I had to leave an extra hour early to secured my normal spot which didn’t surprise me. I picked up the Zevon release and one of the Lacuna Coil albums
I was eyeing the Zevon release as well. It did seem like a very successful record store day, and the lines seemed slightly longer than RSDs from the last couple years. Lots of Swifties out and about!! :)
Hi Emma, I take it you already had the two Jansch albums? The Son Volt looks interesting. Would have gone for the Strawberry Alarm Clock, but don't think that was on the UK lists. Hope you enjoy your purchases.... Pete
I think the Jansch releases were limited to the UK. They are on my list though. I'll have to try and find some for sale online. They're a must grab. Hope you had a great RSD!
Very nice pick ups. When I saw that Husker Du was on the list I knew you were going to get that album. I'm a little surprised you didn't get the Todd Rundgren and Warren Zevon releases. Have a great day!
Hey Jim! The Rundgren release was on my list but I had to draw the line somewhere. These other releases were pricey. I might pick that one up later one. Same with Zevon.
Hey David! The boys were awesome. Caught them twice this weekend ... their setlists were awesome. I was finally able to hear "Ghost Town" live, which was a huge win.
Emma, Day of the Doug is very cool. I didn't know that it was being released. A few years ago the Bottle Rockets put out "Songs of Sahm". I need to look for this Son Volt album, now. Thanks, Chris
Thanks for the heads up on the Bottle Rockets release. Let me know what you think if you get the Son Volt. I'm listening to it as I'm typing this comment. It's very good! Take care.
Nice Pickups Emma. I want that Son Volt record. I didn’t grab it on RSD with hopes that I can still find a copy afterwards. My best friend said that the Billy Joel show is sick! I may need that as well. Cheers, Brian☘️
I haven't had time to spin that one. I was too busy running around all last weekend following Cheap Trick :) lol. I'm planning on spinning sometime this week/weekend. Will report back ! (maybe)
Aloha Emma, Awesome RSD purchases! I need to check out that Son Volt.... I did purchases a few myself. I posted them on Instagram. I'm trying to catch up on watching videos & commenting. Really enjoy seeing your pics of your favorite band. Looking forward to watching your next video. Mahalo Ed
Hi Emma, I got the Billy Joel and it is great! My LP2 is pretty badly warped tho . Trying to flatten. Was wavering on the Son Volt. I splurged on the Nuggets Box so something had to give. Let me know how you like it please. I am also a Chicago suburbanite in Forest Park.
Nice pickups I got Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros Streetcore and The Sword Gods Of The Earth. Not a RSD release but the Albert King Born Under A Bad Sign reissue from Craft came in the mail also and sounds great.
Hey Chris! Nice pickups on your end. I'm sure that Albert King on Craft sounds awesome. I have the Speakers Corner pressing of that one. Enjoy the new goodies!
I've been saying this for a while. That'd be AWESOME. Or they release Rockford for the first time on vinyl with a matching yellow vinyl. Or '97 with a black and white splatter or something like that. Lol. I have so many ideas!!!!!!!!
Hey Emma first time ive seen your channel and i dig it!i do think the incense and peppermints aligns great with the husker du.buddy got my husker yesterday and i cant wait to get it!i actually didnt know it is a double album but here in Mpls with ALL the hype this thing is geeting it kinda makes sence. i mean the local nbc news show inthe morning here did a plug for it! useing a video that was at least 7 tears after the longhorn shows. Thanks for the first look at it!
I’m surprised you didn’t get the Muddy Waters Woodstock Album. Wasn’t there a Howling Wolf title this year too. By the way, Bottle Rockets also did an album of all Doug Sahm songs called Songs Of Sahm (not an RSD release) that is also worth hunting down. I got the Paul McCartney, Ringo, Duran Duran and TV Mania. I also wanted the Blindman soundtrack but either my store didn’t get it or someone grabbed it before me. I’m going to try to track it down online tomorrow. My RSD will come to a fine conclusion tonight when I see The Ides Of March in Three Oaks MI tonight!
How was the Ides of March?!?!?! The Muddy was on my list but I had to draw the line somewhere. I'm sure I'll eventually pick that one up. There were a handful of blues albums I was eyeing. Great year for blues collectors. Thanks for the heads up on the Bottle Rockets release. I'll keep an eye out.
You picked up some great stuff Emma. The pink vinyl is a nice surprise for the Strawberry Alarm Clock album. 🤩 The Billy Joel concert should be great too. It was weird to not have a Cheap Trick release. 🤔 Have a great day.
I purchased a NM og stereo copy of that "Strawberry Alarm Clock" months ago before it was announced for RSD. Think I paid close to $40. for it. 😮 That Billy Joel looks awesome! Happy spinning Emma! 😁👍
@@EightVinylLow Thanks Emma. I'm still happy to own it. It's a psychedelic classic. I'm doing okay. Haven't done a video for a month. I have to change that I know.. Finances are kinda tight at the moment. Anyways, always enjoy your videos and that you're doing well. ✌😁
Nice pickups. I had an original of strawberry alarm clock. It was purged several years ago at the Austin record convention. You’re gonna love that record.
