Hey hey Corey. So cool to see another edition of RSAA. The original record store interview videos on the Net. The editing was slick as always and the interviews were top notch. So cool that you need not include the questions because the answers are captivating without them. Plus the way that you switch off Jon & Molly is right on point. Nail City Records is on my list. Thanks Brother Corey~ Rob/Boston
Thank you Rob, it was a pleasure to tell Jon and Molly's story and to get a fresh video up. Who has time for questions? lol yeah the idea is to keep the video going as my audience is smart and in 2020 we've seen interviews time and time again so our minds fill in the gaps. I still have my sights set on Boston one day! Cheers ~Corey
Thank you, for me it's a must to identify the state and shop name so why not do a super short intro? The only thing missing with that approach was a short clip to get interest. Inspired from other sources, I added those little clips to the front and I think it helps the story, right? Cheers! ~Corey
Was just there yesterday and picked up some great stuff. Also got to have a really great conversation with Molly. She was fantastic. The shop is small when it comes to the amount of stock, but what they have is quality stuff. Great space, great people, really great shop.
@@CoreysChannel I did tell them I saw this video. They were very happy to hear that. I chatted with Molly. She was fantastic. Really wish I had more time to hang out and dig some more, but family was hanging out in the car so I tried to not take forever.
Right on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ive missed this series Corey....so glad to see another installment. Your production skills are beyond compare. We have an ECHL team in the town next to me....went to a game once and the Nailers were their opponents. Thought they had a unique monicker...cool to hear the story behind it. Great looking shop...hope the scores were killer.cheers Brother....Lee
Nice! That's too cool you caught a Nailers' game. Covid, like many things, put a lid on the series for the summer. I was glad to get another episode up including a new store in a new state (for me). Cheers Lee ~Corey PS I actually did get some killer original records: Törr - Armageddon Tyrant (8) - Legions Of The Dead Culprit - Guilty As Charged Budgie - Bandolier Alcatrazz - Live Sentence - No Parole From Rock 'n' Roll
@@CoreysChannel yeah, i never considered how covid affects doing this.hopefully this series safely picks up again. Kind of mindblowing you found the 1st Torr record in Wheeling. Dude, thats the unexpected score of the year/decade right there.haha. Tyrants debut,Nice!!!! and that Culprit record is completely underated. rounded out by Budgie/Alcatrazz..... Wow,what a haul man. That shop deserves a revisit at some point for sure.. keepwell Bro ....Rage On!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Walked into NCR a couple months ago. Walk up those steps a couple times a week meow. Wonderful folks & they always have a record you gotta take back home with ya.
I walked away with a major score! Törr - Armageddon Tyrant (8) - Legions Of The Dead Culprit - Guilty As Charged Budgie - Bandolier Alcatrazz - Live Sentence - No Parole From Rock 'n' Roll Cheers~Corey
Hi Corey!! cool you keep doing this series, nice to see some new store over there, of course i'm jealous LOL, regardless hope you keep doing this an showing some more cool little record shops. Cheers (saludos) and take care
GROOVY.... My record store has a restroom too and they serve coffee. Instead of 3000 square feet though it's only about 400 sq ft. I've taken some of the VC guys there. The metal maniac Scott Waters being one of them...... Geez I just looked wondering why I hadn't seen a vid from Scotty lately and I see I ain't subscribed. That happens occasionally too me. RU-vid unsubs folks for me that I'm unaware of. Now I gotta try and find his channel again. What's he call his channel Cory??? Whoops, lol, I see he commented already. I resubbed.
Hey Bobby! I think I remember hearing about those visits. Man, youtube does these weird changes from time to time and scrambles a lot of my settings. I've lost all my notifications this last time.
I think all the well run record stores were actually booming, especially ones that have an online presence or did curbside pick up. Millions of people forced to stay home turned to outdoor activites and indoor activities like listening to music...in unison with the physical format surge? Just made business explode for businesses and individual sellers. Discogs is "out of control" and ebay is (slightly better prices these days) is booming as well. My observations for some stores were that they were able to decrease operating hours/labor and be closed in "the name of covid" and increase sales and owners had much more free time. It doesn't make sense to limit hours, that means more people together in less time. It's the restaurants and other small businesses that were crushed by mandates in my opinion.
