Recording an indie folk song from scratch

I record my new indie folk song "Cold and Green" from scratch layer by layer. I'm using a couple of acoustic guitars, bongos, caxixi, shakers, tambourine and some software synths (U-He Repro 1 and Repro 5). My artist name is Coatseller

You look like you spent less than 2 hours in making a song! You make it look so easy. I have tons of songs, but recording them is a pain. I also do indie. I use abbey road as well, 606, 808, mix of plugs ins from NI komplete and ableton. My issue is that I spent more time in getting stuff ready before I actually record. By the time I need to record, I lost about 4 hours haha. Then I need to sleep to work the next day 😑

Gotta blueprint out your song. Get it to a workable point where you're ready to record it. These RU-vid videos are condensed to show the exciting points. Writing is hard work. The more you do it, the easier it seems to get, like you're exercising the creative part of your brain. Just keep writing. Good luck!

I have tried this technique with my Mac keyboard as the synthesizer, but I run into the problem of editing the beginning and end of the beat. When I look the sound it doesn’t match up on beat. Does anyone have advice for this?

Great video and inspiring process! Could you please tell us more about your acoustic guitars? Make, model, age, type and age of strings, etc. I’ve been searching for that dry dark tone forever but haven’t been able to nail it
