Using hydrochloric acid knocks the silver nitrate into precipitate. The copper will be still in solution while nitric acid and hcl are available. This insoluble AgCl is the copper/silver seperator step. Hope that helps 🙂
Nice 5g button! I weekly fight the urge to process ones like this. Hard to decide when i have enough to commit! If this is just from 900g then maybe i should round off at a kg and just go for it haha. Just prepared 160 gold legged ceramic "sandwhich ic's". (Dip? I forget the name) These ones had a silver coated heatsink so seperated from the better ones batch.
Can we use lower acid concentration? I have a few liters of HNO3( 50% ) and HCL( 30%) will the reaction just take more time or it will not work at all?
I was shocked that it wasn't another chip ashing video you know like on Trinity gold. Because there are computer crash the lost files and they'll never film again.
Depends where you're at, in the US you can get all these chemicals from Walmart, you just may need to order online and have it shipped to the store or your house
