So, one of my friends actually had a pretty interesting theory. He said that Recovered Project was possibly going backwards and the realistic Dave was a mock-up for Dave, but ended up being scrapped and redone, but still unfinished.

My theory to forgotten Dave's third transformation is because all of these models are free with the paint 3D app, which means forgotten Dave is trying to reconstruct his 3D form

The reason recovered project is named that way is because in paint 3d the software they use when you exit a project paint 3d will recover it in the menu if it’s not recovered the 3d models become 2d and the background is the paint 3d transparent canvas
Theory: This Dave was scrapped and unused,because the file was actually scrapped and unused,with the file being either,cursed,wierd or unsettling,then,the Dave in the file actually attempts to make an escape from the file,but something goes incredibly wrong...
Theory: Dave's unused and eventually scrapped models managed to get restored by an unknown source but while in the process some of the parts of models got corrupted and that leading them to look *different* . When bf died on disability he somehow managed to access these flies allowing him to fight or rap these projects. One last thing these sprites are 3d meaning these were going to be 3d dave sprites but got scrapped and yeah you know the whole deal.
When you accidentally exit out of a Paint 3D while in a project, paint 3D automatically saves the scrapped project, but it only saves the last save, so thats why most of daves forms here are unfinished

I feel like expunged can transform into dave, bandu, bambi, and everyone else so when singing expunged gets making different forms of dave showing him getting more mad.
sometimes i think that this song was made because a model involving dave was being made but the program that the model was in crashed and a recovered file of the 3d dave was made so then that's how this was made
Maybe this could’ve been like an early crazy Dave design and then the artist hated the design, but forgot to delete the project itself. (They used a Dave base.)
Theory: The creators were making him, and Paint 3D (they were using Paint 3D) crashed! They opened Paint 3D, and found it recovered. (Paint 3D has a feature. When it crashes, it makes a recovered version of the project using a temporary backup.) They saved it, and moved on with stuff forgetting to continue with the project.
Theory, you just opened this project again and everything is loading in again, first starting with the basic shapes, which make for phase one, then the first effects are added to make it phase 2, and finally all small edits and details are loaded in, making it phase 3, the final form Like how some games load in the assets when you start them up

Dave 1st Form is normal Dave minding his business in Paint 3D, second Dave is the 2D form because they forgot to save the project, so it recovered it, and turned the 3d models to 2d, 3rd form, It glitches too much that Paint 3D tried to recover the project with premade models!
