The hand in the band and the hanging really hurts the top of my shoulder. I am diagnosed with supraspinatus tendinitis. Should I still try these few seconds per day? Btw awesome content. Thank you for sharing.
I'm so sorry to hear about your struggles with shoulder pain. Have you tried any of the exercises yet? Please do let me know which are most helpful. Wishing you a speedy recovery from the PWG family Best wishes, Ashley.
You are unique. The exercises helped immediately. I love the way you explain and show how to fix shoulder/elbow (and perhaps any) pain. Thank you very much.
Surgical manipulation 9 days ago has made PT almost unbearable. Can't deal with the pain during PT using meds due to side effects. After 7 months painful frozen, the recent manipulation was done. 😢
Hi Ashley. I haven't had the need for physio for a few years. I spoke with you, then. Current situation is as follows. Yesterday I had a cortisone injection into the left shoulder bursa. To quote the Doctor..."It's a mess". I had a cortisone injection on 22nd Dec 2022. Unfortunately circumstances caused me to do all the wrong things post injection. Farm responsibilities, lack of staff/covid,and,left with a shearer and myself. I am now at the stage of trying to repair the damage caused in addition to the bursa problem a half healed biceps tendon. That at least, is a plus.I mentioned your programs, and,Dr Bennet said to have absolute rest for about two to three weeks, then speak to you about starting some very gentle excercises. I have all of your YT videos, thera bands, ball in a sock etc, etc. I live in an isolated rural situation so access to physio is difficult. Late next week I should have the report from my own local GP from Dr Bennet. I will be able to fill you in more accurately, and, hope you can guide me onto the best place to start. Presently, there is some pain, after the local anaesthetic has worn off. I'm finding it very difficult to get my arm into a position that eases the shoulder discomfort. Yes,I have pain killers. The discomfort is bearable, but,I did not sleep at all, last night . This is purely to put you in the picture. All being well,I should be able to start some stretching in a few weeks?? I would appreciate your guidance, again. Kind Regards,Lauren
I was doing lots of stretches and exercises to recover from a shoulder injury (under guidance), and not getting anywhere. I went on a holiday to the Maldives and took my exercise gear, and a gym ball, thinking that I would do an intense period of work to sort it out, but wasn't getting anywhere. I then tried to swim round the island, using a long breaststroke (pulling it down toward the end) and no leg action. I only managed 50 minutes the first day before I had to come in to eat, but my shoulder paiin was gone the next day. I have now been to the maldives 8 times and do a complete swim round the island like that (1.5 hrs) every other day - and this has really helped - pulling my shoulders back and even moving my hips forward (which helped my skiing). Nowadays I use a macebell and do 3 sets of 360s with 60 rotations per direction - started with 5kg, then 7.5kg, and currently 9kg. Absolutely brilliant piece of equipment and very time effective and also exercises your core. I had a physical therapist round to look at a knee problem and showed him the macebell - he had shoulder isssues from lugging clients around, bought a macebell and this fixed his shoulder. He now recommends them to his clients. Indian clubs also look interesting but I haven't tried them yet.
You're absolutely welcome @Nard Tala! I'm so glad to hear the exercises are beneficial to you. Wishing you a speedy recovery from all of us at PWG! Best wishes from London, Ashley.

Thank you, Ashley. This is the key that has been missing for years; with all the methods I've tried, I kept only aggravating the issue in the past. Now, I already feel much better after just one session of these stretches. I also watched one of your anatomy videos, so now I understand exactly how I was making things worse before, and what I need to avoid doing to recover.
You're most welcome. I'm glad the video was able to shed light on your shoulder pain cause. Have you tried any of the stretches yet? Please keep me posted on your progress. Best wishes, Ashley.
Another great video, clear and concise. Are there any specific stretches you recommend to increase the range of motion in that scratch-your-back position you showed in the video on shoulder impingement? I feel that I am quite restricted there. Thanks!
Thank you! I'm glad you liked the video. Have a look at this video:ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-B4UYaumLy90.html This is basically the same as the updated one you watched except there is a stretch for internal rotation in there as well. Don't bother watching the whole video, just skip to stretch near the end of the video. I hope that helps and answers your question? Best wishes, Ashley
It’s really getting better.. sometimes I forgot to do it since I don’t feel the pain anymore 😅😅 If I lifted something quite heavy in a wrong position there it comes the pain again 🤣🤣 and then i do this exercise again☺️☺️
