Recovery after a Breast Lift

I’m surprised by the comments that it’s easy. It wasn’t easy and it’s painful! Why sugar coat it? My Dr. did not downplay the recovery and I appreciated that.

I agree it was painful. Not so easy ! And my brest kinda look crazy still ?

Dr Smita just did mine and I didn’t have drains. It was painful YES but I was on Tylenol by day 3. Showering walking talking. I slept a lot but I was not bleeding everywhere or feeling down/pain. 6/10 pain and I didn’t need many supplies just bra, ice packs, laxatives, fluids and arnica for swelling. It was super sore but it’s healing really well!

I'm 52 years old and had a breast lift w/fat transfer and TT w/lipo 7 1/2 weeks ago (on 5.17.24). The TT was a little intense at times...and I still have some discomfort and am a little hunched in my lower back, which is painful. But it's still too difficult to stand straight. But not even bad enough to take Tylenol. The breast lift, on the other hand, has been disappointing. I mean, the lift and fat transfer look great it's just that there is wound dehiscence under both breasts that just won't heal! Both breast were spitting sutures so I went to see my surgeon 1 week post op, 3 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks, and I'll see him tomorrow - 1 day shy of 8 weeks post op. Every time I went in, he removed any suture that popped out and "cleaned up" the incisions under the breasts. Not comfortable and I feel like it's starting over every time I go. So frustrating! At least the TT is healing beautifully! While the lift didn't really cause me a lot of pain, physically, it's taking quite the toll on me mentally. It's like I'm never going to heal - and he just says this is normal and my body has to do the work. All that to say, why didn't these docs talk about THIS in their video?! You know, the stuff that Really happens?! So misleading. And there isn't a lot of info on RU-vid about wound dehiscence when it comes to breast lifts (without implants). Nonetheless, I'll keep hanging in there. :)

Soft supportive bras are helpful for the first month or two months. My patients get back to the gym at 3 weeks and listen to their bodies to progress their activity.

I am sooooo excited! I used to have literally perfect breasts, then I had my first child and during his pregnancy my boobs blew up like the blimp, no joke, and after I stopped nursing, they turned into bags. That was nineteen years ago. It has been my dream ever since to get them done. I'm in good shape, but my boobs look like I'm seventy, and it's been like loosing my womenhood, so I'm sooooo excited. Swelling can make the breast feel hard-that should soften up with time. Tissue that remains hard may be an area of fat necrosis where some of the fatty tissue hardens after surgery and could be permanent.

Sitting up helps prevent swelling which is useful, and also makes you less likely to roll over onto your breasts which is why your doctor likes this so much! Thats our little secret. Good luck to you- L & L

Anesthesia will tell you it’s more dangerous to drive to the surgery center than to actually have general anesthesia in a credentialed faculty.

If you need an attorney just contact one for a consultation they would know way more

We recommend parents invite small children to cuddle in the couch instead of picking them up. Sometimes getting used to these routines before surgery is helpful for little ones to adjust!

Overall, recovery is pretty consistent across various procedures. Some things can add a little more pain or discomfort in the first few weeks, but you should be back to resuming normal activities in 3-6 weeks after most plastic surgery. Best of luck- L & L

Hello. I came to Cancun to get my breast lift. The experience was amazing. I'm happy with results. It was done on Monday. Nurse visited me the next few days. I met with actual surgeon again on Thursday and had drain removed. I removed the stitches after 2 weeks. All is good!!!

You always want to make sure you are seeing a board certified plastic surgeon. Surgery is the entire experience before during and after the actual procedure. You want to ensure that your physician can help you with standard postoperative care and that they are equipped and able to take care of you if any complications arise. ❤good luck to you!

Cup sizes are different on everyone's frame. Typically 150-250 g is a cup size, but that too can vary. Good luck in your healing and chat with your doctor about your results. I'm sure you look great and are going to feel even better! - L & L
