I love this video. Well done Grace. Also, on behalf of those of us who don't try to read way, way, way too much into everything, I'm sorry that you felt compelled to change the title of this video. I'm honestly shocked that anyone made an issue out of it. I honestly try really hard to be sensitive to not saying or writing things that could possibly offend, and to see things from the point of view of any audience. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around how anyone could have been offended (unless they just wanted to be offended) by your referring to Mamrie as your girlfriend. (News flash, people: heterosexual females who are close friends have been calling each other "girlfriends" for decades now. I hear female friends refer to very close friends who they aren't in a relationship with as "girlfriend" almost daily. If some of you in the LGBT want that to change, I understand and can support that, but this is neither the forum nor IMO the appropriate target.) Accusing you or suggesting that you were "queer-baiting" is absurd, undeserved and disrespectful IMO, especially when it's relatively safe to assume that many of those who complained have seen your videos before, know who you are and what you stand for, and should have maybe wondered whether you might not have intended what they thought you intended. You don't need to do anything like that to attract viewers, you haven't in the past, and I frankly don't think you would. I hope that you don't feel compelled to acknowledge or apologize for doing it, because it should be a non-issue. Those who wanted to be offended, were offended, and the rest of us knew what you meant and didn't think twice about it. Sorry for the soapbox. Be well, all.
