I really can’t get to grips with this new creator studio, the other day I accidentally posted it as a premiere this time I post it 10 mins late, what’s wrong with me!?
amazing video as always! if you want to give it another go at some point, a couple tips: the rice mountains fell apart bc you were using long grain rice as opposed to the short/medium grain rice that they use at wagmamas! it sticks together bc of the starch content, and the method of soaking is meant to get rid of some of the excess starch in those types of rice (think sushi rice, arborio etc) so when you do that with long grain it doesn't have the same stickiness as for the sauce, you can obviously add more flour, but tbh you could've just let it simmer with the lid off for a bit longer. the excess water would've evaporated off & you'd end up with a thicker sauce with even more concentrated flavour! glad u and the fam had a nice meal tho
I’m Japanese so I’ve been having curry rice so much during quarantine lol. I recommend you buy Japanese curry stock its a really easy way to get the curry flavour :)
@@Evieisnumber1 There's a couple you can probably google it. I'm in the US now, but we had the same when I lived in Misawa Japan. It was S&B curry and Vermont curry. I have always got them in a box and broke apart the roux cube things. I've also come to like the Otoggi brand from Korean for their curry. I've seen these available on US and UK Amazon's so it might be able to get online.
When you bread chicken, always have a wet hand and dry hand. So take the wet chicken put in flour. Take dry hand, put it in the egg, take wet hand and put chicken in crumbs. Dry hand to take it out.
I forget to do that. Every. Time. Then each family member walks in separately and nags me for it 😂. Same thing with chopping the onion. I know very well how I’m supposed to do it, but then someone walks in, I get flustered, and voila - chopping like a noob.
Sophia 23 I didn’t say anything about school though. I meant that she cooks/bakes a lot and her entire channel is about cooking. I thought she would know that method. Thats all 😊.
Relatable. Also lol you just reminded me when grace drops things what was it butter and then mayo idk idk if shes getting better at not dropping things or maybe she stopped telling us about it haha or rather jesse isnt there to tell us about it in detail haha
@@EmmaAppleBerry haha true. She nearly knocked the cereal over recently but no mayo mishaps for a while, bless her. I am just as bad Always dropping things or knocking things over! 🙈
Does grace understand how much enjoyment she is bringing to peoples lives! Like she is just out there cooking some rice and it’s the actually highlight of my day 😂 anyone else??
Hiiiiiii! Since I'm early, I just wanted to say that I thoroughly enjoy watching you. I love the relationship that you have with your family; Every video that you make with Papa Booth is so delightful. Thanks for keeping us entertained, especially during these weird times. Love you, and take care. x
I LOVE THIS! I love that they played along with you as well sooo cute! Your family is soo cute, and fun. Lucky to have you there as well. You are so awesome to create this meal for them.
Grace, let me first say I am way out of your target demographic, but you and your family have given my family admittedly, HOURS of joy since we discovered your channel(s). Thank you for sharing your beautiful soul with all of us. You are part of what is right in the world.
Grace, thank you for sharing your recipes. I love your willingness to try new things and share with all of us. Your personality makes these cooking escapades fun to watch You and your family are just a “gem”. The best skill in cooking is to cook with a joyful heart and you rock that!!!! Thank You for sharing your talent.
Ah I literally made the same thing last week and loved it! I made it with tofu (breaded it the same way as they do the chicken) and it worked so so well, for all the veggies out there :) love your channel! x
Hey grace, love your vids! Was just gonna give you some video ideas that I think lots of people might like to watch in quarantine 🤣 ▪️diet swap with a family member ▪️5 days of eating 80’s food ▪️ morning/night routine ▪️your favourite thing to keep you occupied during quarantine ▪️q and a ▪️another competition with your dad ▪️ current favourite things vid (movies, clothes, food, activities, skin care products...)
This was soo cute and it looked delicious! I love watching your videos and how your family just nonchalantly joins in and makes the whole deal 10x more enjoyable
@@-afrodite I literally have one but my parents hate using it. I would be making meals 24/7 if I knew I did not have to wash so many. You don't live in the US, right?
Just wanted to say thank you for posting so much and I love your videos! I’ve been a viewer since the start and love watching your sub count go up every time 🥰 My husband is a key worker in a children’s home and has been working 12 hour shifts most days which can get quite lonely but your videos are definitely making me feel a little better. love you ❤️
Ahh I love that Grace watches Friday Night Dinner too! It's so good and I'm so excited it's back!! Also- yaki soba is my wags fave too! And I get it with extra tofu which is just amazing :O
Oh my gosh, the vegan version of that first dish you described is soooo good!! I recently had it for the first time, and I was havng the time of my life. I wanted to cry, it was so good.
I would love to see you recreate the next recipe they posted! This looked delicious. I love all of your videos Grace! I've pretty much been stuck in bed all day (39 weeks pregnant and having to take it easy), and your videos always brighten up my day! Lots of love
I did homemade gyozas the other day though (wrapper and all!) and it’s surprisingly easy and just as good as restaurant ones (if not better!) 😍🤤 you should give it a go!!
@@noodles.6388 clickfortaz tries a bit too hard. Went to the same college & she is not like that in real life at all. Grackle is more organic I believe, she's the same on camera around her family & they don't bat an eyelid, which shows she's just being her authentic self.
Hi Grackle...that looked absolutely yummy!!!!!~~ I can never get my rice that fluffy..thank you for all you hard work in putting up these videos/vlog..especially seeing as it’s lockdown..they really cheer me up!!! ~~ I hope you and your family that also includes Banks have a good week and I’m looking forward to seeing the next video/ vlog ~~ sending love and hugs..STAY SAFE..Xxx Xxx
Love Friday night dinner so much 😍 I have a load of Jim’s as my iPhone cover. Also, when Grace said “where all in this together”, I replayed it as the HI-5 song they sung ALL the time... fellow Aussies also hear it whenever they hear someone say it or is it just me?
Great job on the curry Grace. Especially for a first time! U can do the popular one hand wet, one dry or do what I do- one hand is wet and dry then the other hand is kept ‘clean’ to use a spatula or chopsticks to move/flip food with.
With the sauce, I'd recommend not sieving it but blending it. The blended onion, garlic and ginger makes it thicker. Also, some recipes recommend adding carrot to it as well which will also thicken it. Other good additions are honey for a little sweetness and worcestershire sauce. I've yet to try the Wagamama recipe but can't wait to. Also, find a local Korean store and get sushi rice, that's the best with Katsu imo
