Thank you for mentioning "Anywhere" by Evanescence. That is my absolute favourite song, I can visualise exactly where I was when I first heard it and to this day it remains one of my favourite songs. I'm sad that Evanescence don't add it to their set lists at gigs, but in retrospect if they ever did I'd probably be a mess of melted mascara and mournful tears for my long lost youth. 💚🖤💚

Same, it reminds me of the time I had just met my future partner and I thought we would never be more than friends. Bitch please, we were never friends 😂 I wish I could go back and tell my 19-year-old self that friends don't talk on the phone for hours every night and basically live together, ruin their other dates by talking constantly about the said "friend" and then be like "oh we are just friends with benefits". On the other hand, maybe we wouldn't have survived as a couple without that "friend" phase. I would probably uglycry myself to a panic attack if Evanescence would ever play that live 😂 AND THE LOOK, that shade of the cyberlocks really make you glow, Emily! You look like those cool cybergoths I always looked up to but knew I could never pull off the look!

Omg this is just nostalgic for me. I used to be a pink cybergoth, went to all the ebm clubs etc. Those were the days! When i heard angelspit at the end i jumped up and down so excited, i dont listen to ebm anymore but now im looking up all the ebm classics on spotify ❤

This has inspired me so much. I used to be so into experimenting with my makeup and outfits but the last couple of years I've gotten lazy, most of the time I find myself just wearing leggings and a hoodie whilst i have all these lovely and cool clothes collecting dust in my wardrobe. As you said, dressing up can make you feel so good about yourself, think I need to get that confidence boost again

Oh my gods the town hall! What a time that was. It's mildly hilarious to me that I genuinely don't think most people from back then would recognize me now. I still see people in town occasionally but for some reason never say hi. Pure nostalgia just thinking about it though! Also more than a little bit of regret for not being 'me' back then. Thanks so much for reminding me of it. You really are right about the idea of turning up by yourself and leaving with like 50 friends. Good times! I love this evolution of the cyber look though!

I just want to say thank you for reminding me of those old evanescence songs because I played anywhere and you again after who knows how many years and my eyes just started to water because it brought back a feeling that I don't think can be replicated today. I'm 31 now and the Evanescence obsession at 13 years old was REAL, I loved every album and even got to see them during their third album tour. Ah man i'mg going to be playing these on repeat now

I love that Ipswich had the same kind of known meeting place as my hometown. I'm from Gravesend and everyone used to meet "down Pocahontas" AKA in the churchyard at the Pocahontas statue. All us weirdoes gathered, goofed around until we eventually broke off into groups for the afternoon to do our own thing. God those were the days. I used to be down to meet a group of up to 20 people often who I hadn't met before, now I don't even want to go out to the corner shop lol

I have bad anxiety and abuse trauma from men so going somewhere alone is still a challenge for me to this day (I'm 30) so I feel you! My partner does the same thing by saying its wierd I am afraid to go places alone too. I also grew up obsessed with Evanescence! I have their band symbol tattooed! lmao. I also just got the vinyl of the 20th anniversary Fallen release! When you were talking about the town hall, it made me reminisce about when I was a teenager and used to hang out in the square in Nottingham. All the goths, emos, scene, skater, alt kids, used to go hang in the square and it was the same. If you had no friends you would come away with loads by the end of the day. Such a good time.
