Absolutely love this!! I’m all for going back there! I’m also all for using the makeup you have rather than constantly buying new releases that a lot of are just the same colours etc. especially when you’re not an mua or someone who collects makeup for a reason.
@@nicolawillis1581 I do regardless! I couldn’t care less if things are “trending” lol. I just do what suits me and my face. Don’t get me wrong I have a huge collection of makeup and skincare, but I don’t use a huge amount of it on myself, it’s mainly for others. But I’ll always use highlighter and have dewy skin etc because I’m an old lady and I like what I like!! 😂
@@Beauty-mad I still wear my older things too, but it’s satisfying to see RU-vidrs use the older stuff too, that’s probably what I should have said. Though I don’t wear my highlighters as much as I’d like to, don’t always wear highlighter for work.
@@nicolawillis1581 good for you! As you should! 😊 ah thank you for explaining, I see what you mean now. Yes I always enjoy older products being used. Not everyone wants to (nor can afford) to buy all the latest products so it’s lovely to see some products that people will already have being used again/more 😊
This takes me right back to when I discovered RU-vid makeup tutorials when caring for an elderly relative. I needed some escapism and you, Angela, were the very first RU-vidr I found. Everything about your tutorials was so relaxing and the first higher end palette I bought (in Sephora in 2018 on a trip to Las Vegas from the UK no less) was Modern Renaissance - bought because of your tutorials! Thanks for bringing it back. Loved your tutorials then and love them now 🤗
I think that's SUCH a cool idea!!!! I've often wondered if shadows "go bad" or don't perform as well when they go past the expiration. I think that's a great series idea!!!!
Definitely want to see the comparison video of the old shadows vs the new ones. Another video idea, take 2-3 of your top palettes and create a look only using shadows you have NOT touched/used from each palette!
Girl I am HERE for all the 2016 throwbacks!! LOVE me some full coverage glam, I don't CARE if the trend is more minimalist and I actually take it as a compliment when my daughter tells me I'm stuck in 2016! Love it!! ❤️
I love this! Yes! I’m still using this pallet! I just discovered it! I’m so happy to hear that 2023 looks are not going back to the natural look like I read a month ago!
Funnily enough I pulled out my Modern Ren on Valentine's day. It didn't perform as well as I remember but it has been a LONG while. Definitely interested in seeing you do a look with each palette to compare how well the older one performs/looks in comparison.
Love this!! And please do a palette side by side with the old and new palettes - as an ABH fan, I am so curious about the formula over time and even if it just still holds up after so long!
I love seeing this type of video! While I did get rid of my Mod Ren and Norvina palettes from ABH, I think it is great seeing old palettes getting loved!
Love this look!! I’ll probably recreate it!! 💜 I actually purchased a new modern renaissance in January 2022 because my old one was too dirty and old and I have been using it this month 💜 I’m for sure doing this look this weekend ✨💜
I am So Excited to see this palette getting used again! I still love it! I wouldn’t mind if they made Antique Bronze and Vermeer and tempera more of Metallica instead of satins, although I do love antique bronze as a satin. It looks so soft and flattering on the lid! I love to do Raw Sienna as transition color, love letter in crease, deepen with Cyprus Umber on outer and inner 1/3 (halo), and Antique Bronze on the lid!! Vermeer inner corner.
I Love This Look. Going right now to order that palette. I love a dark glam eye even during the day. YES! Would love to see a comparison from the old with the new. Thanks Angela as always your stunning.❤
Oooh definitely want to see the vid wear you compare old and new eyeshadow palette! I often wonder if my palettes still work the same as they did when they were new xx
Hi Angela! YES please, a comparison video where you use the old Renaissance palette on one eye and the new one on the other would be so great! I've bought many palettes this past year and I hope and really want them to still be good in 7 years from now, but I don't know if they will be because I've always decluttered the ones older than 3 years. So I would LOVE a video like that! :) Thank you so much for all your eyeshadow tutorials!
This is hands down my favorite pallet of all time. Every time I wear it, I get random compliments from the guy at the gas station, to my Pharmacist. For reference, I have aqua blue to greenish eyes. This just makes them POP and It never grows old to me. I have well over 80 great pallets...this is my go to.....still
Hi! Great idea for comparing older products to newer products!❤ Love your 2016 look! I've asked others to create their looks from the past a while ago and very excited to see you create yours. I'm curious as to how your makeup had changed from say 2016 to 2018. Thanks for sharing with us today!❤
I think that's a good idea old pallet on one ne on the other after realising morphe changed the formula of jackyn hills first pallet we don't buy a pallet more than once unless paying it not a common thing xx
Yep, I repurchased the modern renaissance palette last year (my first one went off many years ago). The old, first formulation had an ‘official’ shelf life of 6 months and the new formulation has a shelf life of 12 months.
Omg yeeeeeeessssssss!!!! I’ve actually been binging from the Angela Bright vault. I hope you get paid for views bc gurl I leave it on tv when I’m cleaning and play for hours. 😅 So I’m screaming!
Love this idea...Would love to see the old palette paired up...Plus some people might not be so quick to declutter some good palettes...lol..Beautiful look then and now....Wish I could do either one about now...🤣🤣👌🏽👍🏽🔥🔥🔥❤️
Would you please do a video on setting powder? There are so many! It would be great to learn about why and where/when to use each powder. I am especially interested in Ben Nye Banana powder, MAC, E.L.F. Halo Glow, Laura Mercier, RCMA, and Bare Minerals. Maybe split it into two videos…one on setting under eye and the other on setting the face? Thanks!
Hi Angela loved this video. Your eyes look gorgeous. I would like to see the same eye look in the older palette. Just wondering if you know how long you can keep old palettes..? Thanks Angela.
Gorgeous! Love this. Also I would LOVE a video comparison of the old and new eyeshadow comparison. I’m constantly wondering if I should throw out my old makeup but feel like it’s so expensive to have new stuff every year or two.
I LOVE your lashes, I just bought lashes from you last week, I wore them yesterday and one of my coworkers said they were beautiful and wanted to know where I got them, I own the "Angela" bright lashes..... So pretty 😍
I bought a fresh modern renaissance when I had to toss my old one because I just couldn’t be without it in my collection due to nostalgia. I have yet to dip into the new palette but I should.
Loved this video and look forward to the side by side. Would also like a how I did it then vs now video. Maybe copying an old tutorial and what you would change to bring it into 2023.
I would love to see how you would create a look with those same colors now. You mentioned you would now put the shade you put on the mobile lid in the crease instead. Sort of an update with the same or similar colors - or how you would use the palette now.
I LOVED this palette when it came out! I panned my first one in about 2 months. I wasn't trying to pan it, I just used the crap out of it. I bought a replacement and panned half of it, then slowly started using other things. I just bought a new one 2 months ago and still love it. ❤️ It was a different time then, and I had maybe 25 palettes, not the 100s I have now. It makes me miss having a small curated collection. But at the same time, I love all my palettes. Anyway, I love the look and am so glad to see this video.
Such a beautiful look! I picked up this palette for the very first time at the end of the year. I felt it was missing in my collection. It “needed” to be a part of Soft Glam, Norvina, Sultry, Jackie Aina & Carli Bybel collection. Right? I thought I made the right decision 😊❤️💄
Angela I literally last year threw this palette out basically I'd had it that long and I hadn't used it in ages, but now I'm regretting it I want this palette again after seeing you recreate this eye look 7yrs on, and a brilliant job you've done as well, aah man I'm so annoyed with myself right now, I'm going to have to buy it again cos I miss it. Great thinking though about copying this look again, what did you think of the formula has it changed ? does it look different from the original? It would be good to see you do each eye with the old and the new palette. Thank You lovely 🥰 🌟
Love a throwback. I don't own this palette, but I'm impressed with how that red applied to the lid. Have you replaced yours, or is the palette like 7 years old? I hear ABH palettes go off after 2 or 3 years.
Huh! I remember hearing “ven-uh-tea-in,” and cringing, but then it occurred to me having her artistic skills would serve me better than having a superior vocabulary 😜
I don't know why people feel the need to point out errors. It's like, did you know what she meant? Then shut up. But then again it is 2023 and millions think they do no wrong so... 🤷 I just laugh at. And the fact they can't read and it's been pointed out 50 times already. 🤣
