Omg I am so looking forward to this 😭😭😭 I am ecstatic that at least Anthony Anderson and Sam Waterston are reprising their roles, loved them❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
I always assumed the scenes in the courtroom were the actual courtroom. When you consider that the show started in the 90s and I didn't think they'd have the budget for such an elaborate set. It also added to the authenticity of the show to use a courtroom at night time to film it.
it actually cost less to build out your own set than paying a locations fee. i worked on this show called The Resident and to use the arts center in atl it cost 80k every time. we went there dozens or dozens of times
The excitement keeps on mounting the closer the season premiere gets!!! I'm so glad the original is back and hope they keep it on this time. I'm always blown away by the design of the sets. The finished product always looks incredible!! Can't wait to be back at the Two Seven, in the DA's office with Jack McCoy and at trial with the new duo of ADAs.
I’m SO excited about this! I love all of the Law and Order’s; but the original has always been my favorite! It’s going to be fantastic to see Sam Waterston and Anthony Anderson again. I know Mr. Anderson has been busy doing comedy (and probably lots more), but he’s definitely needed here. ❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️
One of the best thing about the original show was so many episodes. If you only saw repeats after a run of 200 or more shows, it's often like seeing it for the first time. The new show will undoubtedly be compared to the old show. The only thing that can ruin it will be overly political writers. Much success to the new cast and the new show.
Very very exciting! I do have a silly question though. It was noted that the original sets were built in California. Does that mean the early years were shot in California, at least the interiors? I guess I just assumed everything had always been shot in New York.
They might've been built in Cali but they were set up in the Chelsea Piers in NY. Jerry Orbach said that that was a unique thing about L&O. NYPD Blue and Third Watch, which he called great shows, would come to NY and shoot scenes and return to their sets in Cali. But L&O, SVU, & CI shoot on location in NY and have their sets there. Except SVU. Their set was in Jersey but they had to share the courtroom set (by share I mean SVU cast & crew had to go into the city and hope that L&O cast & crew weren't using it) but SVU get their own courthouse set in season 6. And by season 12 they moved to the Chelsea Piers after L&O was cancelled.
@@ryang183 will be thinking of you at the first decent Jack rant😉😉😅😅. None of my friends or family knew or watched L&O and don’t understand my excitement
Looking forward to watching the return just wish more original actors coming back, such as Alana De la Garza, Angie Harmon , As it happens I'm just watching s13 ep 20 , law and order on every day and svu in the UK , I won't get to see latest series sorry Americans call them season 21 for a year or so,
Would love to see Alana de la Garza /Linus Roache back as well as Jeremy Sisto to partner Anthony Anderson❤️🔥. But more than happy to give the new teams a chance
While I appreciate the attempt to recreate the old sets, they are WAY too open and spacial. We rarely ever saw the floor ever in the original show, nor did we see so much open space. Sam's office alone looks like it holds five times more people than in the original. Also, where the hell is the secretary shoved into the end of the hallway?
