They are both inportant

In retrospect, both debates hold a heavy amount of fact and importance, they both fall under the standard of semi-equality, but that is not the question. In my personal opinion, I believe the arts and English speaker won the debate solely on the fact that he had plentiful more pointers than the math and science speaker. Don't get me wrong math and science hold very strong arguments, which their speaker did not use. His only argument is that you'll be dead without math & science, well obviously, we get that but just because it sustains life doesn't make it more critical. Sustaining life is important as a whole but to sustain life in this world we as people need to communicate. He also mentions that it doesn't take long to figuratively understand and communicate with each other whereas that is incorrect, some debates take longer for each person to fully understand. If he is speaking in blatant scientific terms rather than psychological therefore he is correct if someone points at two rocks and says, "oh look it's two rocks." its easy communication but when one is pointing out how the other doesn't understand that the two rocks are just one rock split in half then the communication becomes difficult. Communication is subjective whereas science and math are simply understood through equations and patterns that are only possible because of English and science. Though the math and science debater holds a more professional stance he only has one main argument. Even though art and English's main arguments are communication he also rebuttals with different ideas by snapping back with the example of ebola and the lack of communication. I believe he (English and art) won the debate due to holding more reasoning. Yes, staying alive is a rather large reason but the speaker for them should have had other reasoning than just that. Personally, I do believe math and science may fall under more importance, in our current day, but the basis behind it all suffices from English and art. Therefore one without the other is indispensable.
