When I was a civil war reenactmenter we went by a funeral once and our col. Didn’t know what to do so he just told us to remove our hats. Later I learned the correct order would have been reverse arm which was the sign of respect for a funeral
Nice training hello from member of Austrian empire grenadier from 59 infanterie regiment Von Daun from Czech Republic i Wish you all good fun and super battles and i have 16 years in reeactment so im little vet now 😂
Enjoy this video in 4k. This could be you! These new recruits you just watched are now fully trained and about to fire for the first time at Battle Road next weekend!
Ahh, wish I was in your area to visit! There isn't much I can do Rev War reenacting wise in TN that I know of, and even less so as a girl who hates dresses/would want to be a soldier (Deborah Sampson, anyone?) 😹 so I love watching your videos.
Hi there! We would welcome you if you were ever up North! There may be some Rev War units in your area. Some units (us included) also allow women to portray male soldiers!
@@HM10thFoot I'll have to make a trip someday to say hello! I'll have to see what I can find down here in the meantime. Really appreciate seeing you guys letting women join in as soldiers!
@@alexengland5528 Thank ye for the suggestion! I actually /have/ been been there and spoke to a ranger briefly and they mentioned a female ranger being a soldier... but life got insane so I haven't been able to get back in months. *sad sigh*
@HM10thFoot ayrshire, scotland. I've done some searching but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be many groups around this way, most napoleonic era/age of musket groups are either down south in england (ironic since all UK based highland regiments seem to be down there) or way up north of scotland for the jacobite groups. Other ones seem to have became inactive.
