Recumbent bike trip in Norway 2023 | Part 5: Ryfylke (Hjelmeland - Sauda - Odda)

In this episode, we cross the Jøsenfjord by ferry to Nesvik and follow the scenic tourist Ryfylke route (Fv 13) to Sauda along the rugged fjord coast with many tunnels and beautiful waterfalls. After Sauda there is a long climb to the Saudafjellet, a 1000m plateau. We pass the Allmanajuvet, an abandoned zinc mine. Another climb over the Røldalsfjellet is followed by a long spectacular descent to Odda.
In deze aflevering steken we het Jøsenfjord over met het veerpontje naar Nesvik en volgen we de fraaie toeristische Ryfylke route (Fv 13) naar Sauda langs de ruige fjordenkust met veel tunnels en mooie watervallen. Na Sauda volgt een lange klim naar de Saudafjellet, een hoogvlakte van 1000m. We passeren de Allmanajuvet, een verlaten zink mijn. Na een volgende klim over de Røldalsfjellet volgt een lange spectaculaire afdaling tot Odda.

Yo Minkh ! First off ......appologies if I've spelt your name wrong, but couldn't find it, despite looking ...a lot. I must say I enjoy your videos because they are different, not the usual camera in the face....I'm a super hero, type stuff, but just an enjoyable journey shared. I also like the music attached to them. Relaxing and tranquil, as touring should be, although I'm sure It's not all plain sailing. Oh well, I'll crack on with the up coming episodes , btw that's not the the old Wizard is it,?

Yep, I wasnt sure it was the same bike..........new suspension forks, front mech changer (you used to change gear by moving the chain tubes by hand?), slightly different blue? and the boom is black. @@thewizardofoh

Yes, I have changed a lot during the years. The front fork has been replaced in 2008 by a suspension fork with disk brake. The black front boom with front derailleur is from 2021. Only the blue frame and rear fork is from the original Wizard 😄
