Case : 34yr old male with acute fever + URTI
Blood test - TLC & platelets normal, dengue negative, MP negative
w/s : The patient had joined a new job in a food start up. The is Gurgaon resident & works in a food start up at Sonipat( 3 hrs drive from Gurgaon ) Stays in sonipat Mon- Friday and returns to Gurgaon on weekend.
Pt = dr bahut tej bukhar, khansi aur body pain hai. Bahut hi zadaa khansi aur sath mein khansi karte huve pet mein dard, chest mein pain. I feel better lying on stomach. Wife head massage kartee hai , legs dabatee hai, acchaa lagtaa hai. Kabhi khaansi itnee zor se aatee hai ke ultee ho jaatee hai. Shareer hilaa detee hai. Shareer bhayankar toot raha hai
Dr - what is ur concern regarding this
Pt - dr I have work, need to go to Sonipat tomorrow. I drive myself. But now I am not in a position to take a cab too. I am trying to manage work lying on bed. But my presence is needed at Sonipat, I have to go there.
Dr- why don’t u take rest till you are completely fine
Pt - I had fever on Friday, thought I will rest for Sat- sun and go back to work in Monday. But today its Tuesday still I am so unwell.
Pt was coughing constantly while talking. Cough was dry, hoarse. It felt he would vomit any instant
Dr please make me fine as soon as possible, It’s a new job, I must be there at site of work. Every single day I am losing business.
Gave remedy x
Dr - cough better but Body pain so severe it felt like muscles mein swelling ho gayee hai, felt so sore all over. Even getting up and going to washroom was a difficult task.
Dr - how do u manage going to washroom
Pt - I delay going to washroom - and then get up very slowly, holding on to walls, furniture, else I feel I will fall down.
Dr - when u are resting, do u want anyone around you to help you or give u company
Pt - dr I am sleeping all day in bed. I have no energy left in me. If wife sits in the room I don’t have any issues. If she talks to me, I am ok, no issues.
