Don’t know if you’re still checking comments, but…. I LOVE the recycled brick you used here. One question: did you use grout to finish them off?? In your completion photos, it looks like you used either a white grout or maybe mortar to finish the pavers off?
Thanks! We used mortar. 4 parts white brickies sand, 1 part off-white cement. Speak to someone from a landscaping supply store. They should be able to advise you on local materials to achieve the look. :)
@@viking.designs do you brush the mortar mix in dry and then spray mist or do you usually mix and apply to joints wet? In the video it looked like you may have been using the dry method. Cheers.
@@DanMcClureHey Dan. We did a wet mortar mix for the steps and the borders to hold it all together and a dry mix in between the pavers to lock it in. 🤟
This project looks superb. Just wondering, did you treat the bricks at all after? Just pressure clean perhaps, or any thing like an acid wash? On the pallet they were covered in mortar but then in the final shots they’re so clean, so just wondering how you cleaned them up. Thanks.
Thanks! From memory it was just a pressure wash. They always come really dusty but are fairly easy to clean up. I'll sometimes do an acid wash if we are using mortar to bed them in.
Haha mate it's a tough choice. 😆 I went spotted gum at home as I don't mind a little maintenance and my deck is under cover. If it was in full sun, I'm not sure which way I'd go
