Thank you , I am just learning how to do this at age 73. I am having so much fun. I have made cards but never like this. I am learning how to do journals. My first one will be a prayer journal and then praise & worship. I liked, commented, and subscribed 😊😊😊

I am 69 this year,, and have only just started doing journals. I happened by chance across a journal tutorial, and now I am hooked 😂. I have made 4,and now in the process of decorating them. Thank you for such wonderful ideas. x

Wow! These are so very pretty! It always amazes me how scrappy bits of paper look so different when out together in a collage! I think it totally changes them! The only ‘glue book’ I use is when I bulldog clip together a bunch of unwanted book pages or fliers or magazines that you’d normally throw away, and use it to save gluing on your work table. When the page is too sticky, you just throw away the page. A very long-winded explanation of my glue book! Thank you for sharing your gorgeous tag making and those pockets just add something special! Beautiful! Looking forward to your future ideas for the real junk journal! ❤

Love it Gi, just retired and decided to retire from my charity work! Now have time to craft for me, and gifts for close friends and family! Done 30 yrs and my health issues have deteriorated too, so time to enjoy time for me!

Hi, Gi, we had a good day, we celebrated two birthdays, my grandson & my great granddaughter. Unfortunately my son couldn’t make it, his wife had knee replacement surgery last week & has been having a lot of pain. He is the father of the grandson who had his birthday last Wednesday. I have heard that a glue book can either be a book you use to glue things onto (so you don't get your mat sticky) or it can be an actual book (journal) that you do indeed glue scraps into and then tear the pages out and use them in various ways (tags, journal cards, etc.). I hope that helps. This is a great little project, and what a great way to use up those pieces of card that come with packages you purchase. Thanks so much for sharing.

I made a clue book and when you need papers for tags and things its started for you . and a way to store bits and pieces on pages

Another explanation of a gluebook is: It is a book of what inspires and intrigues you. It is a collection of visual items that bring you joy. There are RU-vid videos of people that create visionary glue books🎶🦋

Gi, I am confused by what glue books are as well. This is what Google says: A glue book is a bound notebook filled with a collection of paper ephemera, glued onto the page using a glue stick. Glued objects turn into a collage, and so a glue book is a collection of collages. Glue books can be as junky or as pretty as you'd like, though traditionally they're more on the junk journal side of things. Jan 25, 2024 I have also seen people take an old book and glue ephemera on top of a page. When the page gets too sticky, the crafter tears the page out and throws it away! These are two very different uses I very much look forward to your interpretation!! Barbara in Texas🌱🌺🪴💘🌿.

Your tag would be the book and your bits and pieces would be what you glue down to make a collage. You treat it just like a true junk journal and usually there is no dimension just flat. Most ones I have seen use magazines.

I’m making a couple of glue books at the moment - I cut out interesting pictures from magazines and stick them in. A good RU-vid channel to see what a glue book is, is Nicole from RelaxCutGlue ❤

Great ideas for using up those scraps! I would never need to buy a thing and just use my scraps for the next few years! LOL! On another note did your sky light up with the meteorite last night? Thank you for sharing your ideas!
