I use my and other peoples hair when I spin sock yarn, it makes the yarn durable. Nowadays, that tiny strand of hair have been replaced by a nylon strand in the middle.
This is the kinda stuff our taxes should be going to help fund. Not billionaire tax cuts and subsidies for rich companies. But research and operations for clever environmental cleanups and preservation solutions and moments like this
Wait couldn't they take the rough fleece from old sheep that is too rough for yarn and use instead? Most the farmers are just throwing it away because it's not worth it anymore

Heres my question: can they use the hair that we all clean out of our brushes and combs? I have very long hair, and don't cut it, but I do have what comes from my brushes. If it can be used, that would be wonderful, and add so many more sources for the program!

I wonder if there's actually a way to recover that oil back (like kinda passing the full filter by a distillation process or some medium high temperature "bath" to recover those hydrocarbons and reuse such filter a couple of times. I can imagine such thing to be left in a lake and after a month check the pollution level on the lake at very cheap price
I hope all of our governments agree to this and fund a matting satelite for every country, so that all we have to do is setup a collection network manpower nationwide. Well I have 2 shih-tzus so I have a bunch of hair to donate and I have thick hair as well. I always have to thin it out so much. This is really clever.
