This is the first time I hear "Establishing battlefield control, stand by" from Yuri's perspectives. Really interesting, makes me wonder if WW planned to make Yuri campaign but got scrapped later
13:56 do you ever wonder if Kirov captains ever feel awkward seeing other enemy airships flying past them slowly, but are unable to do a thing about it?
I like when there's an action already at the start - maybe can agree it was usually allied AI being "attacked" while player had time to adjust, but still, I like that creator kept that element, even if it's OUR BASE IS UNDER ATTACK before radar animation even finish. I wonder if green AI isn't a "second chance" for player, since it never attacks, also has psychic beacon and for some reason chrono miner...? Allies easter egg? Who knows.
@Laura Allard Isn't Yuri's Revenge though set during the Allied/Soviet war, or at least in the Allied Campaign it happens between the initial invasion to the end of the conflict as the timelines merge... Soviet one is... "who knows" though. But anyway, the way I see it is that once Yuri lost support of the Soviet Union, he no longer had access to their hardware so he had to make/reveal his own and show his hand early. But in the timeline where he doesn't lose support, well he doesn't have to, he can easily build his stuff using Soviet hardware.
Honestly the beginning is exactly why I will never play this mod. Attacking the player before they even get the chance to do anything is such dogshit and doesn't give any wiggleroom for mistakes. "Oh you lost that one tank? might as well restart fucker" It's needlessly hard for the sake of being hard.
@@tg.Sacred so no mental Omega then ;) all jokes aside If you do play mental omega can the difficult be on casual or normal sense I would prefer seeing a blind play through
u can always play it on easy/normal, which is much easier btw, there's always some difference on map aside from enemy ai's like in allied desecration u even get mcv, in red apple there's a well placed bonker for units to get in, and many many more, it's just hard that obnoxious
@@tunatastekin1179 honestly mo was only difficult when I was playing for the first time and not knowing what factions there were but after getting used to Mo's pace and knowing the factions the game became super fun heck even hard ai became too easy for me anyway you might feel that the game is too hard even on casual in missions that's maybe because casual medium or hard in missions are actually the same with few differences I think like having less resources or the ai not using some tactics or special units :)
House green is probably either doing something in the background or originally intended to do something but was abandoned. Considering it's a bonus mission I wouldn't be surprised if it was abandoned (plus the map shape kinda needs something there anyway).
I just finished watching all the flipped missions and thank you for your efforts, especially when you zoom in the mission briefing and the cutscenes on the top left on the screen. Looking forward to more videos!
0:03: By your command, Yuri. (Wait, is this the last Flipped Mission? Darn, would have wanted to see what happened to Romanov in the Soviet campaign.) 0:58: Wait, we need your uber mind control powers, Yuri! 1:00: (And in a set of campaigns not part of Mental Omega too.) 3:34: Don't overload them. 10:33: What the fudge... you were saying? Not the entire map yet though. Lots of shroud still around. 18:20: Huh. No, I don't think so. 23:12: (Does that mean there's a YR Flipped Missions series?) 23:38: My thoughts exactly. Lazy a**, that Yuri. Anyways, that's done. Where to next, tg?
No. The Yuri's Revenge stuff, but with the timeline vastly accelerated. Now he can turn all the industry of the Soviets into producing Yuri stuff and planting Psychic Dominators. The world is done for.
I really have no idea what is up with that green AI... they should put some dialogue in that explains them as either some Allied loyalist General... or maybe it's an attempt to repurpose a psychic beacon... It could also be Yuri's base considering how they have the Yuri radar... because yeah it's rather odd that they have all that mishmash of tech.
Tbh it feels like they gave up halfway through developing the flipped soviet missions. This one has an AI with a random psychic beacon and that does nothing, and it gives you no chance to even breathe a little before spamming you with enemy units. Even the origi AL Red Revolition gave you a minute or two before getting attacked
even with all the times i got "free time" in the vanilla mission; i was always getting my ass handed to me. it's funny how the second to last mission is way harder then the final mission. atleast to me.
So Yuri has a Beacon in Moscow as a backup plan in this mission? It would have been cool if he also did that in the main mission. It's already hard as it is, but destroying the Beacon could have been the first objective before moving to the Kremlin. Granted, this could mean that the player can't send the starting Kirovs to the Kremlin as soon as the mission starts, but it would have been a nice addition. Yuri is a man who always had backups plans, after all.
It kinda looks more like some forces kicked yuri out they noticed how he is trying to use psychic beacon and attacked. Then the rest of the red base is the player at the start of the mission. Notice how the base is exacly like in the original with no dmg holes etc. Green though l, who are they? Beacon would mean allies but maybe zofia? Who knows.
What if there’s an actual Yuri’s revenge Flipped mission? I’d like to see it in the future. That player plays the Yuri faction and has to defend the Psychic Dominator, and destroy time machine. Imagine mission 6 of allied that you have to defend the president’s garrisoned building, on flip, you have to destroy it.
U need to play this one again cuz green didnt do anything. From my version, green constantly spammed 3 kirovs from his base which is also the nearest one to yours. The other bases are far so it takes times for their kirovs. Dealing with kirovs from left and right is way way harder than this.
@@goodlife4321 outro is fragment from literall beggining when u just get battle control, like tg said, u can't kill that yuri prime no matter how hard u try
Im hearing a campaign voice lines for yuri in the start.. Is there even a real campaign for yuri in the original yuri revenge? Or this campaign was planned but they canceled it earlier before they release yuri revenge and they didn't delete these voice lines from the original game... Confused a bit.
The mission briefing says protect the Kremlin as well, but I don't see it on the map. Was half-wondering if it was the other wall-defended building the Kirovs were heading for at 15:36, and would have destroyed if they hadn't been distracted by your units, but it doesn't look right at all.
