Well, when this game was produced the devs indeed take their time to figure how so many permutation of interactions between units mechanics could occur without bugging out the game result. That's a testament of their skill.
(As a modder, I beg to differ.) It's not so much so the devs thinking of everything it's just that a lot of this is happenstance that it works. Like how rocket jumping or bunnyhopping is for FPS games, they're not intended uses of the game mechanics it's just it CAN happen and there's no reason to fix it or think of a special use-case.
@@dracmeister Id still commend them for their good game design for things and small details like that to happen/come into place naturally. Some of these look intuitive and some don't, which makes it even more interesting
....In MO, you have the Chronoshifter. With the addition of teleportation, one passenger slot and being land locked. Downside is its an allied stolen tech.
Those bloopers hit the right spot... I could die laughing. Didn't realize that the clips of the Magnetron requires precise timing. The demo truck though not exploding at the right moment could either mean the Ivan dead or the Magnetron dead. Subbed! Try to use the Magnetron to single-handedly destroy the attack wave of vehicles used by a hard AI (any speed)... this will be epic to see.
This is why magnetrons, not mind control, makes yuri the strongest faction. Gat minds can be easily countered by robots or even just a large amount of tanks, but gat mags are very difficult to counter if the yuri knows how to micro.
Magnetrons always separated the good players from the bad. They were huge threats in the hands of skilled users and useless liabilities in the hands of noobs.
2:12 warheads detonated on ground don't ever damage airborne units. Don't recall how high bridges factor into this in original game. Warheads detonated in-air tho... 3:39 4:23 try timing so the Magnetron lifts the Carrier immediately after the Hornets have dropped their load; if you're lucky the Hornets will crash into the ConYard and deal the same amount of damage as their regular weapon It's a hard-coded feature for all AircraftTypes, firing their Primary weapon (or the Secondary if set) at whichever cell they crash into. 5:31 that BattleFort landed in the cell you have to set as entrance/exit for the Tube. That cell row is always passable for all units. 5:35 A problem with dropping units is the units doing more damage than they should. IIRC Ares DLL fixed a while ago...
1:59 Who needs airport to land anyway xD 2:10 What a sacrifice 2:57 Aegis too OP, nerf please... Oh Westwood is gone? :( 3:38 Rocketeers : *"We're all safe from that demo truck, right?"*
Nice! Gotta say, these Mangetron tricks are truly useful in micromanagement and strategy. You can use your Magnetrons to your advantage to frustrate your opoonent or help propel your vehicles to another area.
@@zeroakira584 Hence, I said "frustrate your opponent" (pardon the misspelling in my original comment). But yeah, trolling them like that is a whole lot of fun 😂🤣
@@JohannesDGradenko This trolling method takes a new level in Mental Omega, where some t2/t3 and heroes are basically given the "You are grounded. Go sit on the bench" treatment by the magnetrons.
Laughing like mad. And... a bit sad, actually. What amazing, AMAZING campaign moves could have been done with these, if they had time to actually make Yuri's campaign... P.S. I know about Mental Omega and I praise the insane amount of work put into it, but it still sux.
@@tg.Sacred are planning to? this can be a leap for your channel, plus you get to think out of the box by playing against real ppl rather than a common AI. plz make some online gameplay
Does anyone know how to move magnetron while simultaneously carrying vehicle in mid-air? Yuri does that in campaign but I never figured out how to do it myself.
I usually use magnetron to destroy enemy's unit by lift it up then let it fall to obstacles like cliffs because it would kill any type of units instantly even it apocs or battle fortrest..... But i'm surprise magnetron can be used for instantly refilling aircraft carrier's plane.....
Seeing all these after playing Starcraft makes me thinkg the Magnetron could be a kind of support caster like the Viper, with the ability to move enemies and allies.
0:32: How?! That's a Battle Fortress! 1:42: That worked too well. 2:06: What is this, Romance Academy 7? 3:41: Not sure how I should describe this. 4:57: The Magnetrons sure are finicky.
I wonder how many additional aircraft you can make with that trick. Just one, limited to the airfield's 4 or if you can go full-on C&C 3 and create impromptu airfields that way.
