it's called a dhol (assuming you're talking about Sunny Jain - the lead guy). Traditional South Asian drum.

The guitar seems to be lost in the massive sounds of Sax. Should've used a bit more to create a perfect fusion of Western-Punjabi folk :)

Or some Northern African styled playing, a la Bombino, Tinariwen, or Amadou & Mariam. If never you've heard of either of those three bands, then RU-vid them! They're all amazing! Oh, and Red Baraat sounds like a more westernized version of Fanfarai, just to throw you one more group to add to your repertoire ;)

Some of their tunes seems to be inspired by other Indian songs. I hope they have the legal rights to use them.. For e.g. Daler Mehndi - Tunak Tunak Tun Video
