@@arboris Yeah and max is a multi time champion in the biggest motorsport in the world. You would expect him to prioritize that more than esports, theyre defo not on the same tier
@@arboris doesent make it smart to comprise your performance in a formula one race so you can play in a sim race. And as we saw it clearly backfired because he was extremely snappy at Hungary. Sure he wouldn’t have been super happy regardless but he was 100% affected by the lack of sleep
Red Bull appears to be falling apart from inside. Max is carrying the team on his back and the first chance they get they throw him to the wolves for sim racing. Without Max Red Bull would be fighting for third maybe fourth place in the championship instead of being in first. The team is worried about replacing Checo but at the rate things are going they better start developing a plan for if Max leaves.
No big deal, Lando only carried the team on points for 4 years straight, but yea, we're not gonna give him a #1 spot or apologize when we put him on the wrong tires, or pit him early. It's like you're asking him to search for another seat.
You forgot to mention how he was being dominated by Carlos in the 2 years before that similar to the situation oscar is currently in . So should they have given Carlos #1 then ? or help the young driver and build there confidence and think long term for the team?
Search for a seat where? Max isn't gonna leave still, and Mercedes is putting everything on Antonelli. And no way Max will want a direct championship rival next to him
1:41 I think we’ve hit this crucial threshold. It’s for sure time to choose between just the constructors champ. And both drivers and constructors. Lando needs to outpace Max. I don’t think it should ever brutally take away from piastri but a 2nd to 3rd place swap is nothing. Do that.
ROFL Checo will be in that seat as long as he wants and Marko has no say in it. You people have zero clue how F1 teams are financed and how legally binding contracts are. RB needs Checo , Checo does not need RB. Checo is rich and races for fun. Without Checo RB and Max will be fighting along side Aston Martin's pace because it is Checo's sponsor money that pays for the development of the car. 2 yrs people have been saying he'll be kicked out and yet he's still there and magically has a new contract in hand...last weekend ROFL You clowns are funny to listen to.
Perez had more than enough chances to turn his form around. He does bring a lot of sponsor money, but it's been offset by all the crash damage, compromised WCC position and data lossed from lack of running. The crashes also hurt team morale for all the time mechanics need to work late to rebuild the car. I'm sure their bonuses are also tied to WCC standings. Id like to see Yuki get the 2nd seat but it'll probably be Dani. He also brings some sponsorship money and has picked up his form mid-season. His lack of results lately seem more down to poor team strategy. Dani was the only teammate of Max who could consistently score podiums, and seems to prefer a similar setup. Apparently he's also helped with development and setup of the RB, to the point where it went from a backmarker to fighting for points each weekend. If he fails, it's no worse than it would have been with Checo and he can be replaced by Yuki next year. Either way Lawson should get a RB seat after the summer break.
Has Stella not been paying attention to the WDC standings? It's clear Lando is the #1 driver in that team. When they pitted Lando first, I assumed they did that to help him in the WDC as he's the one in 2nd place. Stella is another Binotto. Good tech guy, not so good at team bossing. I think Zack should be considering a new team boss if he wants his team to win championships.
Then you didn't really pay attention to the race since the team stated over the radio that they did it to cover off Hamilton and Verstappen, which was valid because of the big undercut advantage at the track, and that they would switch back when that's taken care of. Listen to team radio replay on the race highlights.
@@EXG21 But I did. The team made the mistake thinking that all a car needed was to be a second or less faster to be vulnerable, when it was clear a car needed to be more than that to overtake. Neither the Mercs or Max were that close. The Mclaren's were never really under threat from the undercut. Thus Mclaren strategists got it wrong... again, and created a problem they could have avoided. And, if at the end of the season, loses the championship by 7 points or less, what happened at Hungary will be a truly critical mistake.
@@frankbieser The team made the choice as a precaution, with F1, the undercut wouldn't cause a pitstop overtake but would put them closer to actually fight for at minimum 2nd and 3rd from Hamilton and Verstappen. McLaren just wanted to make sure they were best prepared. The problem they had was that Sunday morning meeting rules and strategies and driver actions didn't account for a driver double thinking giving the place back when in front. You can strategize all you want but the driver ultimately is the one with the final action. Just look at how Stroll didn't give Alonzo the 10th place back after given the chance to see if he could fight for 9th but failed as stated and stole the final point place.
Read between the lines: Lando needs to up his game if he wants to be considered the #1 driver. Oscar is super impressive this early in his career and they can't rule out him being in a position to lead the team.
Helmet Markooo: "Perez either you start doing well or we will punt you! Max please would you mind, if at all possible, and it works for you, could you please, pretty please maybe not do Sim racing so late, BUT only if you are OK with it!"
@@adr8 max doesn't actually care about the car, only when it was slow Adrian made the RB18,19 and 20 to be quick cars regardless of driver If you ask me, that generation of car was more suited to Perez
@@adr8 Albon and Gasly and Kvyat all drove at RBR in the POINTY car, cos Newey always designs a pointy car... thats the fastest design. So you already saw how others drive it.... MAX DOES IT BEST

Wait, Max was really doing a SIM race that late the night before (morning of) the race? I thought that was just a joke, but that is seriously messed up or shows Max’s immaturity or lack of seriousness in his job.

@@gealingeman8643 I don’t hate him at all, think he’s one of the best drivers currently. Just found it strange he would devote time like that during an important event which is his priority. I heard he was up until like 3-4am, so you’re saying he got his 7 hours of sleep and didn’t get up until 10-11am? Sure if drivers cannot sleep or have a routine, they should do what works for them. This does not sound like that though which reflects Red Bulls decision not to let that happen again.
