Yeah , whenever he crashes he recovers immediately and blends in with his execution such that his crash doesn't seem evident at all.

If a no name bboy did those slip ups and crashes, wouldn't even make past the preliminary. Judges need to stop giving big name bboy the edge. I know his moves are fresh and clean but how does this pass the execution criteria for the judges?!

I thought the same thing, "Oh shit, this move is so sick!" and then he didn't land it at ALL! But both crews were dope, everything was left on the floor.

You for real? Since when was competition supposed to be "fair". Is Joey Chestnut gonna give other people a headstart because he's too fast? Are we just gonna kick out the bigger crews because they're sponsored? Where's the fairness in that? These crews who treat eachother like family deserve special privileges or what? Or should they just be better as a squad and overcome their rivals. We see the same judges at every event too, how is it fair that other people can't judge? They're more biased towards teams that show newer material because they've seen redbulls sets 10000x times. If you want the scene to have more support and lesser teams to win, be reasonable about it.

I understand the sentiment, but crew battles are a muddy topic. While it's easier to find so-called homegrown crews in smaller competitions, when you get into larger ones that attract dancers from across the globe, it's quite common for crews to mix. I remember a Freestyle Sessions World Finals I went to in Japan many years back. I talked to one of the guys from Killafornia during an intermission, asking him if they were some kind of super crew. He said no, but I asked because I recognized dancers from Style Elements and LA Breakers. Going back to one of the founding crews in breakdance, Rocksteady Crew, they would later on recruit top dancers from around the world as well. While it would seem like an advantage to assemble a crew of world class talent like Red Bull does, it's not necessarily going to translate to trophies because as you said, they tend to not have the time to train together and make routines. Also, the general standard of breaking is very high, so you won't always see much of a difference in the quality of dance from them and a local crew. But as you could see from this tournament, the Red Bull team did actually train together for it and came up with several routines that weren't just half-hearted choreography.

@@FierceZs1. They are treating breaking like a sport and thats how every sport operates. There’s a reason a team cant sign Steph, Giannis and lebron to the same team. Imagine if every year a basketball or nfl mvp joined a team of mvps from previous years to compete against the regular teams. Judging is different because it at least allows for some consistency when the same dozen or so people judge most events. While judging is a subjective topic at times, building super crews is objectively unfair

Roxrite is also in Renegades and Redbull All Stars who both were in this competition. He competed against a crew he helped start in this battle and would’ve again if Renegades beat FlowXL. If your crews give their blessing then by all means…
