I know this is old and I'm not trying to start shit either. I could kinda see why swellz could have taken it but check it bro. Prada g had every factor of a solid bboy meaning. top rock power and footwork and mind you he's rocktop is up to beat plus he's footwork. swellz second round was short compared to Prada g second round. there a lot too being a judge you really gotta listen to the music and the bboy. you gotta remember that.

Also, just because someone can only do a baby freeze doesn't mean he can't see when someone win or lose a battle. I Dont have perfect airflares yet, doesn't mean I can't critizice other's airflares when I see them.
swellz was dope but it was really just blow-ups in between six-steps. Prada answered his blowups and added some really complex footwork and shit. I honestly think that prada took this one. Much as I lose to both of them big time.
My thing is, when it comes to "mistakes", they arent the same as crashes. Half the time the only reason we notice them is because we know the persons set. "Oh he was supposed to do this, mistake" Not true, Pro BBoys are trained to get out of "crashes" so that it looks like they just went to a completely different move perfectly. So its not necessarily something that should be counted against them. Not saying Prada - G didnt crash or mess up or anything, just saying theres a difference.
way off? check out his style bro, his original transitions and combinations of movements, the way he got into freezes, and the knee rocks its flowing and he played with levels and directions alot. high level of breaking right there. if you cant see it then you're blind or you're new in this. swellz second round was great though. i think it should be a tie breaker IMO
You dont understand, I see it. I see how Prada-G's style is dope as fuck, while Swellz is a bit more "generic" (Even tho he deserve props for the blow up feeling he brings to the table, even during his toprock/footwork) What I am talking about here are MISTAKES. No matter how Prada-G's style is dope, he just made way too many mistakes compared to Swellz. He is a professional bboy, mistakes like that do not forgive. How is Prada-G doing head moves with a cap that still has the button on top? Ouch. About people thinking Swellz won: judging dance is like judging art. It is not an exact science. It is a subjective experience. So, don't hate on each other for commenting their thoughts about the battle (unless it's blatantly disrespectful). I personally think Prada-G has this snappy/crisp style that seemed outshine his other competitors in this competition.
Swellz should've won just because he looked like his moves flowed better both rounds. Then Prada's last round was kind like eh compared to his first round.
Oh I do pay attention to the little details. And I saw a LOT of very off "little details" 1:17 1:19 2:21 being a repeated move from 1:27 2:22 was not tight at all, not to mention his foot hits the floor 2:24 since when is a barely catched crooked 90's dope? No matter how "dope" prada-G is, this kind of mistakes on a qualification for the biggest international 1on1 battle should not forgive. Even if swellz is overall a weaker bboy, he just didn't fuck up as much as prada-G did.
Irrelevant. A popper or a locker doesn't know how to baby freeze, doesn't mean they are not dancers. Also doesn't mean they can't judge what bboys do. Plus there really is no judging here, Swells was just MUCH MORE cleaner than Prada. And don't argue on that, just watch Casper's face at 2:16. Even he wasn't feeling Prada that much. Point is, your skill level has nothing to do with your interest in something. I know a photographer that is at EVERY jam, since 10 year. He can't do a single freeze.

If you want to talk rounds swellz lost the first one because of his crash and shitty filler footwork. Second round he did flare-airflare-windmill and then REPEATED a move he did the first round to an Lkick which was Nice. Does his flashy moves make you blind? Prada G CAME IN WITH FLAVOUR on his second round he already got tens of points for his toprock section his 1990 was so so and the rest of his set was clean. So what are you looking at here that the judges can't see?
Dude if you can ONLY do a baby freeze then you shouldn't be saying shit because you're not a dancer point blank period. On your second argument that one of an airflare ; telling someone that they have bad airflares even though you have none is still reasonable it starts getting awkward and arrogant when you can't even dance and you wan't to judge people who have been dancing for longer than you could write english.

Someone who follows the scene with passion, goes to every jam, watch battles, learn the history is just as well placed to judge as someone who's been dancing during all this time. Period.
