Brilliant tone and brilliant playing. I dig it. This is exactly what I think of when I think of PAFs. The whole point is to EQ them so the wonderful woody tone of the guitar can shine through. Some manufacturers don't get this, but it's nice to see someone does. These pups sound truly brilliant.

Tone Specific makes the best pickups...I've tried them all n nothings close. Not sure how they do it but they feel like they have tubes in them. They make your guitar better...your amps n modelers better...you'll wonder what you ever did without em....a real game changer.

Best idea is to stick with lower output pickups. They give you dynamics, clarity and sometimes even good punch. I'm more or less a metal guy but I don't like too much output anymore. You lose everything that's important. Best sounding guitar I've ever played was a 64 or so sg (Les Paul) with a P90 in it. It was so musical and aggressive.

Channel is seriously under subbed. besides the obvious talent, Doug's sense of dynamics is superb and the ability of incorporating heavy, melodic, subtle transparent tones back to back is really the mark of someone channeling that elusive 'feel' into their well practiced chops. I put JWP PAF's into my 79' ES335 and unleashed a woody blues monster. think i'm gonna try "Tone Specifics" to spark up one of my SG's. but i dont expect I'll be reaching these heights.

Look. I’m not going to mince words here. This is the best thing I’ve heard in my life. I want to live inside these pickups. Forever. And ever. Amen. However, I’m concerned that, A.) they’re more than $450/pair, and B.) once I troubleshoot all the crappy cold solder joints and get them properly installed, they’re going to sound NOTHING like this demo because Jesus Christ almighty that’s Doug Rappoport. And, sadly, I’m me. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. Ok. There is. Plenty, actually. Anyways, thank you for this video. The tone is just... So. Good.
