.... The very KEY to the power of control that we have over our reality, is what we consistantly focus upon. This is why it is absolutely essential to keep a positive heart, in spite of all we have suffered to the contrary.

I remember when I saw you Red Crow one evening during the World Uranium Hearing 1992 - it was on a big veranda, the mountains outside in red evening sun, and your appearance so nice and full of dignity. Will never forget that moment... we haven´t seen us later on, but I have your appearance in mind forever, like other indian friends too... Big Thank you from Southwest Germany!

I was raised in Mississippi and have much respect for the Native people I grew up with and I believed I had Indian blood, but DNA test said I had only 6% and I told my Indian family about the test. I was told I am still Indian because of my beliefs and I was given an India name. They said to be Indian doesn't require Indian blood, just a true heart. On that day I had no more doubts about who I was.

I have subscribed to your channel. I believe as you do that this massive injustice needs fixing. The Native American people have had the biggest disservice in world history, thanks to people like my ancestors. If any of my ancestors had a hand in this, I am ashamed on their behalf. The US is guilty of genocide. The more who shout this,, then those in power will have to listen.

I'm completely stunned! I'm English and have grown up with western films trying to show (in the main) how 'red indians' were evil people, now I know better! The first nations/indigenous people of that land have been treated so badly I could never even start to think what it was like, words like assimilation is one that I've heard on star trek episodes, now doesn't that make you feel scared of what the politicians do and how they edit things to suit themselves!!....

I believe that all organized religion and government is a divider. I believe in the scripture that says: "Love thy neighbor as thyself", and as you give to others you will be given to by God. I have personally seen that in action. Also, you must forgive others...harboring hate or revenge only eats you up inside, it doesn;t hurt anyone but yourself. I have recently re-discovered that praying to God really does work. But, I pray my way, to my God, and I feel a spiritual presence.

And...it is SO important that as many people as possible learn and understand about The American Indian Holocaust. It is a terrible thing they have had to live through, but to have to endure it all with no recognition must have been even harder. May all the wrongs which are still happening today begin to be put right as soon as they can be, and may the American Indians begin now to start to live their lives again, with pride, hope and recognition from the entire world of their plight.

Floyd was a thinking man, as you can see and hear, but he also was a great guitar and Americana song man. We spent great times swapping songs - one never ended before the next began. Both his father and mine were Mdewakanton Dakota from Flandreau , South Dakota. He grew up on the Sisseton/Wapeton Rez in SD, while my Dad joined the Army AirCorps in WW II; a tail gunner on a B29, then came home after the war to raise a family in Sioux Falls. His Dad was somewhat older. Red Crow , you are missed!

If you could have done something to protest the oppression then, would you have acted or would you just turn away? Today, the Palestinians (esp in Gaza) are experiencing the exact same oppression and genocide. They are our generation's First Peoples/American Indians. Learn about what they are going through... they are going through it TODAY. Don't turn away.

What Americans have done to Americans is most peculiar and what’s even more bizarre is that they are still doing it ..... I think the slate should be cleared ... The American political institutions need to do, in my very humble opinion, exactly what Floyd is saying ..... pay for the land or give it back .... however considering that that is never going to happen I would love to see a native american run for the presidency ..... What would happen if a Lakota or Others were in the highest office? .... that would be a thing to behold. I’m sorry to see Floyd is no longer with us ... I think his natural ability to philosophy is a God given force of nature and I must say .... I miss him .... when I think of the native American ‘grandfathers’ .... I think of him ...... I am Irish ... and feel a strong affinity with the plight of the first nation peoples for many reasons but particularly admire the grace and dignity that remains considering that they’re song has been almost forgotten amongst the din of modern industry. See you on the the other side Floyd and perhaps ... we may share a pipe and a story or two .. God bless

Thank you, I acknowledge the injustice, past and present. The idea of giving back so much wealth to the rightful owners is so unpalatable to the powers that be that it is preferable to suppress and silence and hope the idea goes away. This was a great country before we got here. The great buffalo herds always stirred my imagination. Our culture is sick and in decline because our families are scattered and the greedy self interest of the Koch Bros among others that compromise the health of our environment and our childrens future..

The same thing is happening in China, Russia, and other countries as well. Look at Tibetans, Native Arctic peoples in Siberia. In But I feel that the Native American genocide is one of the worst. What about the native Muslim people of northwest China are being put into concentration camps? I feel the Chinese are trying to assimilate all or get rid of any minority who is not Han Chinese.

@CB65 I find it most interesting how our return to tradition is defined in whitey words. 'Turtle Island', English word phrase and a newage concept, was created in 1974. While this phrase is often touted as a rebellion over using the terms "USA" or "America", it is founded in a non-traditional pan-Indianism and perpetuates a false stereotype. It is nothing but a newage construct. While certainly some Peoples had a creation story involving the turtle, not all Peoples did. Pre-Columbus: Abya Yala.
