12:14 hi guys! If you see a little white gun on your mini map pick it up. It’s probably a rare gun. This will add it to your inventory. You will NEVER lose a picked up gun permanently it will always be on your horse. Again you can’t lose guns in this game once picked up nor can you sell them. GG great vids
Dude I have a question about that myself. In some missions you find like a weapon box and you swap your gun for it does that mean that the gun you dropped will still be there in the inventory?
@@sucharsharma5725 yep. Once picked up it’s in your inventory. There is no way to lose any picked up gun. You may notice that it will say compendium updated upon picking up a new gun type. Once that happens the gun is yours forever, can’t get rid of it. Even old weapons if you drop them for a new one you still have it. It will still be back on your horse when you get back to it. This comment is specifically to help Mason in combat. Military doctrines around the world state that basic fundamentals of armed combat; find cover, return fire. You gotta use R1 to to grab cover Mason, you’re getting chewed up standing out in the open. I’d noticed you would get into cover then get out of it. My guess you’re pulling down on the left stick which pulls you away from any cover you’re in. Once you’re in cover don’t touch the left stick unless you wanna move. To use DEADEYE (slow motion shooting ability) click the right stick (R3) while aiming with (L2). That will slow down time and let you shoot targets or you can paint them (R1) and kill them after. What you’re doing is clicking the left and right stick (L3, R3) and using EAGLE EYE, a passive ability that highlights things you can interact with. Hope this helps and I hope to see you getting better with the game!
i think the hardest thing is just using controller. using controller to aim is just so difficult even for seasoned gamers. Now quinn who hasnt played any games for like 20 years makes it way harder. He needs to learn how to utalize the auto aim. he also doesnt really have the feel yet. most people can like instictively move and cover and aim. but quinn seems to have to do everything more manually and individually.

Guys, I have seen you struggle a bit on hunting for the perfect pelts, so here is some help from me. First, read the compendium, it is in the pause menu under progress bar. There you can see all the animals you have studied and it will provide you with the best method to kill a particular animal. I also bought this game after watching you guys on pc and was busy hunting so much the gang started sending people out for my well being. Onto the hunting, scan your animals before killing them, you can do that by aiming your weapon at them. Also try upgrading your rifles and guns with scopes and barrels and other stuff then you can study any unknown animal from a greater distance. Now about the star system, Three star - means perfect pelt. Two star - good pelt. One star - poor pelt. Not all animals are perfect three stars so you have to scan them and their star rating will be displayed alongside their names. If you are looking for perfect specimen then you will have to look a bit with the help of dead eye but only use it when not aiming at animals. If you do not use the proper method to take down a particular animal the three star will go to 2 so be careful. Other than that if you zoom in on the map you will be able to see little names written on the maps like timber station from where you need to get the lumber. It is a little bit before strawberry after you cross the waterfall of doom. If you want the horse then sell all your provisions on you except horse reviver to the timber dude and other stuff at the fence. Also sell your other horses, buying from a same stable will give you more discount same with the shops. Now for robbing the doctor, to do these kind of missions, put your mask up run into the shop and aim weapon on the doctor, and then select the rob the room option. If gunfire happens inside which it will some cop will come inside to check. My advise is to use throwing knife on that person so that other policemen are not alerted. @@davidbaye3758 I have noticed one more thing that you guys have toggled your camera too close to arthur. Remember when you cycle between first person and third you have three distance options in third person to cycle through. That is why mason quinn was having a hard time shooting because your camera was too close.
@@tkmsupreme7046 A short one at that. But it is important to provide full detail rather and some hints which usually sends people on wild chases and waste their time.
The Springfield is for hunting larger animals. If you're going to be tangling with enemies, a repeater is a better choice. The Springfield needs to be reloaded after every shot. A repeater allows multiple shots, and you can even target multiple enemies in dead eye (you also need to learn the dead eye mechanics, it's so much more just a "slow motion" feature)
@@ev1Lsect YES! I’ve been screaming that since they started playing the game. oak noted in the first episode that using dead eye makes things easier. But ever since then they have done nothing to improve upon it. From increasing its effectiveness and level to practicing using it. It blows my mind. It’s one of the best parts of the game. If you get good at it then you can take on 20 people with no problem. I hope before it’s over they take the time to get better at it
Non-gamers will struggle with understanding game controls. It's tough since they don't have a physically present gamer to teach them the controls in real-time.
lol you guys don’t always have to follow the road to a tee. You can just cut through the land and use the road when necessary. Gonna save you a lot of time and produce some funny falls!
Guys you can eat and drink in combat, keep your cores and rings around them full. Off screen you should hunt and get used to using your dead eye and guns in a less intense situation so you don’t fumble and get frustrated. Nobody learns well when they’re pissed off at themselves and the game. Use eagle eye when looting and you’ll see everything lootable highlighted.
When sneaking around trying to avoid the red enemies, push down on the D pad to make the mini map a little bigger, you will get a better idea of where they are.
as a long time watcher, first time commenter, here are a couple tips: - the GPS route is the fastest possible route via roadway, you don't have to follow it exactly - auto aim has different strengths. go to settings and change Lock-On mode Good Luck!
I think you guys would benefit greatly from your next series being Uncharted, starting with the first game Drake’s Fortune. Uncharted is a very basic linear game that can teach different game mechanics like combat, puzzles, platforming and basic game flow, and besides they’re very iconic and fun games. Mason Quinn would benefit greatly from playing those games.

Okay, so... When you use items that make your Health/Stamina/Deadeye bars yellow and full, those are pretty much to only be used in emergencies. Those don't fill up your cores, and often they'll actually lower the cores. Unless you're in a situation that calls for sprinting endlessly, taking a ridiculous amount of fire, or using deadeye non-stop, you Should Not Use those items. Anyways, lovin the series y'all

Mason, don't shoot directly after auto aiming. Hit and hold L2, quick flick up on the right stick, R2.... headshot! Also, take cover a little more often. Cook some meat too, if you aren't going to hunt at least go to the butcher and grab some beef to cook... or grab some stew at camp.
If you wanna know some more about the blackwater job, the journal in game has more rumblings on what happened along with documentations of Arthur’s life before this game. Probably save that for off-screen because it’s just reading, but it is interesting reading imho.
You guys have a lantern. In your weapon wheel, go over to the knife selection and change it to the lamp. Will help you while searching at night. You can also change your camera view to 1st person when in tight spaces to make it a little easier to look around and navigate (though the controls for it are a little sensitive)
Slowly becoming my favorite playtrough of all playtroughs i’ve ever seen! You 3 gentlemen make this game already better and more fun than it is already and that says a lot :) Sidenote: I think Mason Quin should just stick with the default settings and get used to that, instead of switching to inverted. Will probably be easier in the long run
1:11:15 me again guys. Just a tip go ahead and drop all cigarettes, you will get 20 more with every pack you pick up. Once u are full you can’t pick up any more and won’t get the cigarette cards. The premium cigarettes come with a new card that can be collected or sold. Also right “here” (time stamp) there by the cigarettes is a old navy compass you missed. Just wanted you to be aware, You may or may not need it. But it’s the only one in the game. 1:11:15
you have to aim with your gun to get into DEAD EYE, or else it will go into EAGLE EYE which is what you use for tracking animals, also auto aim wont automatically aim at a person if your looking down at the ground, if you aim while also moving the right joystick (which is what your looking around with) towards a person u want to aim at then auto aim will work, and then when you want to aim at a new person, release the aim button thenn aim once more while moving the right joystick towards the new person you want to aim at then it will auto aim again. Oak, in regards to draft horses, the breed you were trying to say is Percheron (Purr-chur-on). And in-game, the draft horses are slow, but probably some of the hardiest horses. Arabians are some of the smallest and most skittish. Any breed will take you through the entirety of the game, but just make sure you feed and brush it.... and... ya know, don't crash it into anything.
Learn how to use deadeye properly it will make the game 10x easier. You can kill up to 6-8 people within seconds! You can mark up multiple enemies at once by clicking R1/RB on the controller when in deadeye mode.
Tip: If you hear flies, it's time to take a bath. ;) Characters will comment that you smell bad. At this stage think the only place to get a bath is at the hotel in Valentine. And don't worry, everything stays RU-vid friendly even if you get 'help'.
The Gunfight at The Old Barn. No, no, no! Pressing both sticks down is for 'Eagle Eye' not for dead eye. Just lock on or aim at something with 'Left Trigger' and right stick press (click) to activate dead-eye. 2:00:00 That light in the forest should have been investigated. All I can say guys is stay calm and get dome practice aiming your guns and rifles. Try to get yourselves used to the controller, remember left stick aims your gun and right stick controls the camera. Yes, right, stick controls the camera.

The live streams are fun but they're getting deep into the story and I think it would be distracting. Maybe they could do a live stream where they just do side quests and stuff? We could all drop hints on where some fun side missions are
As far as the horse type goes, I like the riding horse breeds myself. There are racing horses small but fast, draft horses big and slow, war horses big and steady under gun fire, riding horses good at going long distances without tiring so fast. You have 4 stable slots grab some different ones and try them out. Also I noticed you have not studied animals much, you should it tells you good info. Hit r1 while highlighting animals.
Lancaster repeater is probably a good weapon for you guys to use. thats why it keeps defaulting to it. its decently fast and can one shot enemies with the better ammo. I like it better than the springfield which you guys seem to like using alot
Pressing R1 near cover will move you behind it, making it almost impossible for an enemy to get a clean shot in. Holding L2 whilst behind cover will make you appear from behind it but letting go will drop you right back into cover.
Guys, may I suggest doing a practice livestream where we as the audience can teach you how to use Deadeye properly and other things. Just a stream to fool around and maybe do some side missions solely to practice with us teaching you guys.

It may be time to tweak your sensitivity settings. The default settings messed me up big time when I first played this game. You can find some pretty good set ups on RU-vid.
10:41 Mason tries his best to shoot Sean! Don't worry about dropping your gun to p/u another as all your guns are available at the horse weapon wheel. Do not p/u any guns that are WORN, they work but will never be as effective. Missed something nice in the Boathouse at Braithwaite Manor. You should be picking up those Premium smokes when you can. Discard or smoke one or more. The 'White Arabian' is not even the fastest Horse in the game. It's skiddish as heck and too small for my liking but lots of folks love them. Any of the in game breeds can make it through the game quite frankly. The fastest is the 'Brindle Thoroughbred' which you can buy near Strawberry at the Stable. I like Turk's but you can't buy them just yet I think. The White Arabian is potentially the most valuable horse once fully bonded you can sell for $240 I think, and $320 via the Horse Fence. Big money for some. Remember, Food on the side of yer horse can go bad but them fish or whatever in your Magic Satchel will last forever! Cheers. P.S. Feed your horse!
You guys still haven’t gone for any perfect pelts. Something satisfying with hunting down a specific animal, finding one with a perfect pelt, and hitting a clean shot. Then you’ll probably be ready to start hunting legendary animals

You need to stop complaining about the story missions. You don't seem to understand that this is a story game, not a run around and shoot people game. I think it's disrespectful to the people who made the game and the historical issues they're trying to portray.
Y’all been playing this game for over 2 months and still can’t figure out the controls (which by now should be basic). At the beginning of every episode, use what people are saying in the comments from the fuckin start! There’s no reason to still be this bad at the game guys
It’s important to remember that when we recommend you take cover during a firefight, we literally mean to use the feature for taking cover. Just standing somewhat near cover may seem like you are taking cover, but the game actually has a gameplay system where you press a button and you lean on the cover And it allows you to avoid being shot to a larger degree.
