Q: How are the brightness levels of RED and GREEN dots? , think I got a bad one. RED on #1 is very DIM (Indoors) RED on #5 is about same brightness as #1 on GREEN. RED is barely visible while I was sighting down bore to do initial sighting in daylight. RED pretty much unusable in daylight. Q: ARE YOU EXPERIENCING THE SAME ? (I know GREEN is perceived by human eye as being brighter.. but this is with good battery, Power /Intensity knobs rotates normally, etc RED on #1 is so DIM it in Night Vision comparable.. If paired with IR camera that was looking thru RedDot...) ********** Oh, While the quality looks good (Yep a little debris from machining the threads on mount, big deal)... Whoever thought it was a good idea to put windage adjustment turret on left hand side of a RedDot is a either a IDIOT or a LEFTY ! For a lefty it's not in the way.. For a right handed person typically sighting thru the RedDot with right eye, and keeping left eye open at same time the windage turret is in the way. Guess they thought it was a scope, not a RedDot in which you sight with both eyes open.
I find that I use 5 for day and low for night. I got it on ebay for $20.50aud so I expected to be a shit optic the dot is not a dot like fibre optics can see each strand not perfect circle. just for pot of aim at steel.
Hi Mate, how did that red dot hold up, im wanting one but not sure how good they re or how they hold up. We Aussies get screwed when it comes to gun parts.
