Wow! I typed in Mamba 2 review because I was thinking about trying them for a backup set. Mind blowing to see you reviewed them on Easter in 2018, when today is Easter 2022. What a weird coincidence.😲

Cheers mate! Yeah the first version was £5 less when I bought them and also came with the wallet and more stems and flights but I guess in todays market its about right for a top players dart sadly.

Yippie green your favourite colour! Very striking looking dart, stylish packaging too, seems most darts have window packaging nowadays, really adds to it in my view!

Thanks mate! I dont think grips will ever be standardized as they have changed too much in recent years with all the new ways to machine tungsten, each manufacturer is trying to outdo the other with ever more fancy designs and they all name them with their own names :)

They become super accurate with a short shaft and pentathlon kite flights, mine are 22g as well and I like em, but I prefer hus vyper version alot better

Peter w did trow awsome white thouse darts, but non people in the right mind know he keep it long! Actually, the front barel shape he have statistik trow good with simular darts! Well, gl peter w. Good r as always 😊

Green darts, I like long barrels so it maybe fine for me since I use the RvB95. Great work Darren! What's next for ya to review? Btw, rmb that time I mentioned to ya about a set of Target Paul Lim 19gm steel tip darts? I realized they're only sold through Target Japan's site, not the UK site. Its the model Paul used during the recent World Championship.

Just an idea for something to add to your reviews: U could mention similar darts at the end when u do the conclusion and say who u would recommend these for. In this instance u couldve said, u recommend these to people who like a long slim very grippy straigtish dart with a tapered nose. So for people who like gurneys, but look for even weights. Or for people who like Adam Paxton darts. Paxtons could be the ones to mention for those who would want something similar but cheaper. Things like that... i’m sure u could come up with even better stuff, and it would only be like 20seconds...

Yeah its not a bad idea and others have mentioned something similar before but I usually write in the forum review who they may suit best and I usually mention at some point in the video review but with straight barrels they can suit many styles and the problem with comparing them to other darts is there is literally 1000's of straight barrel designs and no matter what I say some one will always say things like "there is also this dart which is similar" or "this one is even cheaper and a similar style" some people make those comments already so I prefer just to stick to reviewing the dart in question as its simpler that way. :)

Yeah they have a good range and darts are made from their own tungsten which means they can control the quality too :)

I bought them 3 weeks ago and can you believe it... the top of the shafts holding the flight got broken on 2 of the 3 darts ... Is this normal and have you experienced that?

Thanks Scott, glad you like the reviews! :) If you hold the dart the same as me you probably still throw it differently so its not always as easy as that and what I like you may not like but to give you an idea of some of my favourite darts to try I would say its worth experimenting with a variety of short, long, front weighted and straight so darts like the John Lowe, Barney Phase 5, Gary Anderson Phase 3, I also am very fond of the Harrows Rapide and currently my favourites are the Winmau Aspria :)

I had one question on my mind all the time and never asked it.....why do you always look down on the darts before you throw them - you look on your hand, pick the dart and throw it, instead of looking/focusing on the board?

I get asked that question all the time but if you watch again you will see I only do it when not using my natural front grip, so when I use middle or rear grip I need to be sure I am gripping it in the middle or rear properly but when I use my front grip I know where to grip it without looking :)

I wonder if those shark grip sections are that aggressive so that they will hurt at my fingers after a few hours playing? Which dart has the best grip without being that aggressive and sharp?

I cant really say if they will hurt your fingers or not as I guess it depends how tough your skin is. But you may want to try a thin ring grip style instead like the Andersons.

Nice review! How do you compare the Mamba 1 vs Mamba 2? I saw the Mamba 1 is a bit thinner? Much difference in grip between 1 and 2 ?

@@willabrams9449 All depends if you like a taper really. I prefer a thicker feel so it was probably the 1 from memory but they had a short version of the 2 originally which was great but they never made many of it.

@@DartsReviewChannel I'm a bit stuck with deciding which weight to pick on this one. My preferred weight is 23g, usually picking 24g if grams are even. But I like a thin long dart so I doubt to pick the 22g version this time, do you think it will be a big change, how do you experience yourself the weight changes?

no idea, I never bother to test it much, may be once in a while. Probably low to mid 50's is normal but now and then I push into the 60's.

great review. from darts uve used what straight barrel dart has had the most grip. i use bullet style at the moment but lookin to try a straight 24g barrel but cant figure which has most grip

Awesome review once again...great looking dart but too long for me....these dart companies should put longer points in them, standard should be 30mm instead of making people repoint all their darts.....money grab.

Thanks Kevin! :) A bit long for me too. I dont mind 30mm point but I think around 28mm usually feels about right for me so I guess everyone is different and they probably just go with what they think is best although I often find the shorter points less comfortable.

Hi Darren :-). I've just repointed these darts, I've had them a while now so they're abit grubby lol my repointong tool is oily aswell so that didnt help lol. Do u reckon a few minutes soak in some warm water and washing up liquid would affect the pvd coating? I don't really want to ruin them but also reckon they could use a little wash lol. Any tips? Many thanks.
