Im not gonna lie, i legitimately thought that a Wimbledon fan had invaded the pitch at first, then realized that one of their players was wearing short shorts lmao
Wimbledon had their chances but their finishing let them down badly. Wrexham's experience at striker really showed. Fletcher so clinical and Mullin what a poacher! Great 3 points at home against a very good team.
wimbledon fan here, we have both our starting strikers out on international duty, great game but i think the result would be different if they were playing.
that corner was 100% scripted! from the clumping of wrexham players when walking in from midfield to Paul Mullin's slow walk almost like he was 'acting' to draw the keeper and defenders attention to him. Fletcher knew exactly where the ball was being placed, what a perfect set piece operation.
If Wrexham finish above both Swansea and Cardiff in the next 10 years I will donate £1,000 to charity. Their promotion chances for this year look good but League 1 is a totally different beast again and then Swansea and Cardiff are both solid championship sides who have spent time in the Premier League in the past 10 years.
The skill Fletcher has for his size is impressive (occasional shades of the great Zlatan). He and Mullin are a formidable duo and the whole team are showing confidence when on the hunt and some grit when they are in trouble. They certainly are above League Two standard at the present time and exciting to watch.
Parky must’ve gone Yeovil on the lads at 1/2. Came out a different team. “Playing like a bunch of fat f’ing footballers…” etc etc. his rants are epic and effective
That was a fun watch, Wrexham were patient during what appeared a scrambly first half. The second was better as the lads found their stride, Fletcher's neat "hide and seek" move let him put a foot on the perfect cross for their first goal. Two things regarding AFC Wimbledon: Did they have last pick in kit colours? And at times they looked like a boys team, Lewis acting the bully and the ref his doting father, refusing to deal with his aggressive challenges until late in the match. Well worth the view.
I thought Leeds had the worse away kit trophy in the bag this season with that nipple pink outfit. But AFC Wimbledon has run away with it. Has to be the worse kit I have ever laid eyes on.
Wimbledon were the better team in the first half, they were very organised, they defended as a unit, their fans made no noise at all until Ollie Palmer came on
@cheesy1224 we haven't had a 0-0 draw at home since 2021. Scored in 51 consecutive league games. One of the best home records in Europe the last couple of years.
What ever happened to the narrative that Wrexham is too pathetic to hang with this gang? The only pathetic thing is the idiots that think they know everything
Disproportionate coverage at the expense of other worthy clubs. If you don't know what it means Paul there are dictionary on line, sure you haven't one at home!
