As much as I love Tongue Tied, part of me wishes that they waited until Kryten joined the show before doing it. Seeing him dance would’ve been hilarious
Meh I liked the first two series without Llewelyn, I won't say I hated Kryten but he did tend to take over the show and steal the limelight from the other three actors once he became a regular as Llewelyn's style is to overact everything.
@@davidjames579 He's a cat. It would take too much thought to hate someone, he views everyone else as potential servants and when they aren't serving him they aren't really necessary. Like the time he wouldn't interrupt his meal when Lister collapsed with an infection, then visits hi in sickbay and gives him an orange peel and a grape stem.
Season 2 is the best Season of the show no question, but tbh, I don't think Season 1 was quite as good. Still fine, and a good start to the show, but I prefer Seasons 3, 4, and 5 to 1.
@@willowthesily672 I wasn't a fan of it, especially because I've always thought Holly was the funniest character in the series by far, so having to go 2 full seasons without them was a pain. I actually initially despised both Season 6 and 7 for that reason, but after many re-watches (got Series 1-8 on DVD), I've come to realise I was too harsh on Season 6. I still hate that there's no Holly, but in hindsight I can appreciate Season 6 had some *really* good episodes that compensate like Legion and Gunmen of the Apocalypse. *_I also realised I wasn't harsh enough on Season 7._* I still think Season 7 is the only only season of the show that is actually just outright awful. I know a lotta people also don't like Season 8, but I thought it was _okay_ - it had its moments. Every Season aside from those 2 ranges from good to great to outstanding to me.
@@doublechindoge7 there's only no holly because Norman Lovett was such a bloody pain in the arse that he was more trouble than he was worth in the end and once Kryten came along they didn't need two robot characters so ditched that character.
Rob Grant and Doug Naylor wrote some of the satirical comedy songs at Spitting Image, especially The Chicken Song in 1986. So it came as no surprise to me that they wrote this song too. They have a talent for songs.
Lmao yesterday I was on a coach full of ARMYs off to the BTS concert, a hour into the ride we found out there was Red Dwarf fans on board. Shortly after we all started singing Tongue Tied, was the most random thing ever.
this and rimmer's munchkin song are two of the funniest songs so far in red dwarf. i wonder how kryten would of done with this WE'LL never know. and wait holly can wiggle his ears. AND YES dislike this and you will make mr flibbles very cross

A single was released with Cat (Danny John Jules) directing the music video. The single made it into the top 20s. This version is my fav. It concentrates on the 3 characters. I enjoy watching their dancing n a bopping Holly floating by
