Its always the most abusive men that say that kind of shit. And it's because abusers generally have no idea they're abusive. They almost always justify it all in their heads. So when they make a woman a victim, and the woman is aware they're a victim, they're absolutely shocked. This is also why men go on and on about false allegations. They're true, but they think it's false because they convinced themselves they did nothing wrong or she deserves it. Bristol University has a study that women are 3x more likely to be arrested over domestic violence, even though the men were the real abusers in most of those cases. So really, men always think men are the victims and they are projecting. Women usually ARE their victims. The societal wide gaslighting is insane. Global, even. All men do this to all women.

I was on a thread where a woman woman was asking a man about a woman being abused if she should stay. And if a woman cheated if HE should stay…yiu can imagine what the answer was… But it was comments that got my blood boiling. The men in the comments were like cheating is worse to a man, the man would rather take the abuse. But we weren’t talking about the man being the one who was abused…typically by women. We were talking about WOMEN, with smaller frames AND children being abused by men with much bigger frames. They do not have the capacity to see a woman’s POV, so daring and marrying them is already DOA. I now understand why marriages are failing. You CANNOT coexist with something that thinks you don’t exist.

Things used to be kept quiet because it’s ’family issues’ and ‘private. Now we have social media showing women of all races, religions, and cultures that we’ve been suffering the same way. It makes sense, seeing as how one of the first steps in abuse is isolation. Not letting womenfolk speak amongst each other keeps it hidden.

Months down the line he admitted he would have killed me nonchalantly. I was much younger and should and left when I saw the gun but to live and learn as a young and dumb lady

Unfortunately some people are basically taught to accommodate everyone but themselves and their self preservation/ intuition is practically erased in childhood (especially some people raised in religious households). I definitely don't feel any animosity toward her. I feel sad for her. She needs help and possibly has terrible self esteem.

Did you read the words I typed and actually contemplate them before responding? Doesn't sound like it. My complaints were all about how she seems to interpret what happened (notice the word 'seems') and also the concern regarding her entering the home. If she had gone in and things turned out worse than they actually did, his actions would still be the cause. The end comments were my attempt to offer an alternative action. Hindsight is always 20/20. I can't assess why she thought going in was okay. I don't think it made sense, personally considering how she got there in the first place. What happens if someone else hadn't considered this option but later finds themselves in a similar situation? I'm not sure what your problem is. There is nothing wrong with my having an opinion about something she relayed. There were a lot of things she could of done differently. Will my opinion change her past actions? Obviously not. Was she the wrongdoer in this scenario? Obviously not! Are there things that she should have done differently? IMO yes, but dude was despicable no matter what she did or didn't do.
