I got into aquariums because of the plants, so I really appreciate your channel and your online shop is awesome. I know it would be logistically more of a challenge, but I think it would be awesome if you can show these plants underwater. Aquatic plants out of water just don't really show the plant in its best light. Thanks for sharing the knowledge.
Have a kleiner bar sword. Was green. Had a few leaves turn yellow and I trimmed them. New leaves started turning this purplish red color and I thought I had killed it, lol. It’s doing great and I’m loving the colors!
Love your videos...thanks for all of the information! Question: Would you please show us some underwater plants that are teeny tiny? I have a small corner in my aquarium that I’d love to put something small in.
I just ordered me 2 Red Flame Swords should be here around the 1st hope they like black diamond blasting sand cause that's what I have I use my goldfish waste water to fertilize my aquarium plants till they show good signs of growing & it really does a great job to grow plant's. I'm getting into the Dano's for the 75 gal aquarium with amazon swords & java ferns along with jungle Val & red tiger lotus & good water Wisteria & once all that takes over THEN I'll have lots of extra plant's to sell. I have a 5000 luminous shop light I turn on in the morning for a few hours then I turn them off & turn on the dimmer lights for the rest of the day Is the Red Flame Swords fast or slow growers ?
I kinda thought they were called red flame awards, because of the one leaf that came out of mine in the centre. The stem is way longer then the rest of the plant, and the huge leaf on it is bright red
I bought one of these thinking it was a classic Amazon sword. For months I researched nutrient deficiencies in plants to figure out why the new leaves were growing in brownish red. I thought it was dying, here I find out it’s supposed to do that and it’s thriving 😂
My grandson bought two different plants for my lil' tank. Beautiful plants the Amazon swords were labeled the other wasn't. The 1st sword your favorite, could you show the roots this one has a really thick base. Red stems, bright green leaves. Don't know what it is. Have gone through all plant sites looking for it. No luck! When in dout what is the best way to plant it? Right now it is sitting in a seashell dug into the substrate fluval stratum & a root tab below it. Any ideas? V
Hi, I don't have substrate in my freshwater tank, can I attach these to rocks or castles and can I leave them in the pots and just put in the fish tank? I am completely new to aquarium plants but my nitrates are high so I need something to help control it.
It's called "kleiner bär". It's German and means "little bear" and bär is coincidentally pronounced the same way as bear as well... so replace bar for bear
Hello always good info. 2 questions: Q1- Red flame sword you said grows tall how many inches(cm) is that? Q2- the roots are large so how deep should my ada aquasoil be?.
