I was in my late 20s when I was told I have red/green color blindness. I thought I was just bad at telling colors. Up to that point, I always wondered why green traffic light was called green when it was white to me… not even close to being green 😂

I was diagnosed by a doctor as red/green colourblind many years ago. However I've never had a problem with any shade of red or green. The colours I sometimes have problems with and only certain shades of, are purple and burgundy. I can see them mostly as lovely but quite often they look dirty. They have a brownish tint. I don't know this means but I'd like an explanation.
I see dark green as black. Light yellow as greenish. and when strong red and blue are put next to each other, they jump all over the place like my eyes are going insane. I remember as a small kid telling my aunt that the colours in the cover of a book I was reading were moving. She looked at me like I was crazy. I hate my family....
@@lonewretch I see red and green same, purple violet turquoise and dark blue as same, and also see yellow and light green as same, even see dark green, brown and black as same 😢

@@MacaroonsANDImhere It really makes those red/blue 3d glasses hard to wear, I see outlines of both.. ripped off!! lol There must be a term for that though, where red and blue close together, jump around. If that's what you're referring to. Also makes that meme, is this a blue and white dress, impossible for me to tell. I just see shades of something.. I reckon that meme was a scam.. ;)
I can see them but it’s really really hard to see them, is this how everyone else sees them? I got all of the numbers right but it took me a second for most. My friends do these tests and see the numbers way more easily

Do you remember New Super Mario Bros., for the Nintendo DS? When I first played that game, I thought that the Goombas were red. They're actually brown. I am indeed red/green colour blind. It's believed that I inherited this from Grandpa (b. 1933), who is also colour blind.

I actually have red green colorblindness no worry's tho my mom is getting me colorblind glasse :) + I also have no problem living as a colorblind person
@Big man You have no idea what colourblind is. tell the difference between dark red and dark green. It's shades, not complete colours. I used to get laughed at when I said my work gloves were black, when they were apparently grey. And to this day I still cannot use red/blue 3d glasses for stereograms, as the blue bleeds out and I see shadows. Colour is not just red, green, blue. It's everything inbetween, and often that makes a world of difference.
I am so weak brothers, I cant cook well, get jobs, distinguish green or yellow traffic light, match the clothes, and etc. Protan color blindness, is very big disabillity for me.
@@lonewretch i dont know. I may have strong protan cvd. It means my L-opsin gene that is responsible to detect red color doesnt work well. I get hard to tell that light colors. I pay the police to issue my driving lisence. Color blindness is very disabilitating for me even it doesn’t hurt or injure me. But from my psychologic, it really effects me in my whole life

I suffering from this disease , I always wants to join in Indian Army but I was rejected many times , some times I cry & many times I tried for suicide but it is not possible for me because of my poor family 😭😭😭😭😭.. & I dont have another way to survive & earn some money for my family 😭😭😭😭😭 O God , Why you sent me in this world .. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I know I'm not colourblind. I could see all of them easily. My colour vision is even better than most of my friends. We took some very difficult tests, and i could see all of them. My friends had some difficulties with some of them.
