@@chellsss.444 personally I did a month after but that's because red faded so fast! I literally dyed it black after two months lol it was too much to maintain because I like to shower and wash my hair everyday 😅😅😅

I actually want exactly to dye my hair ruby red, that exact color. Was chroma ruby true to ruby red? I see you said it was too much maintenance in bleeding? What color did chroma ruby fade to? Would you say you wore any colors you wanted too? Or did some appear tacky to you? Im so scared for certain reasons to go red. But I've always wanted to since i was a child. Im an adult now... And you only have one life lol... Just trying to see, i have seen many use the true red or magenta on youtube but... Not chroma ruby! Did you use any semi permanent colors as well?

One good trick: after you wait a while to process the regrowth (or roots), take the remaining color that you might have in the bowl and add really good conditioner in it and run it through the entire hair and wait a half an hour or so. It refreshes and softens the hair. What you did here with the Arctic fox is good too. 😀😀

Recently dyed my hair a deep auburn. Was wondering what color you do your brows, or what products you use. My natural hair is pretty dark brown, not sure if I should keep doing black or use a chocolate brown or something to match my hair. Finding that most "auburn" brow products are too coppery. Thanks!

hii! i followed your first initial red hair dying video but my hair has significantly faded within the last 2 months, it’s got that brassy copper/orange/brown tint to it and i don’t necessarily think using the L’Oréal highlight on it again would be good or useful. any recommendations on how to mend the color when it gets to this point, or would the Arctic Fox help? thanks 💗

Just found your channel and subscribed and I’m so grateful! This and your other video of how you maintain it have answered all my questions. I’ve been dyeing my hair since January with L’Oréal HiColor Magenta every 1-2 months. By the time it’s time to retouch my hair is a copper color with black roots. I see that your retouch, your hair still looks pretty red. Would you recommend that I retouch with Artic Fox while it’s this copper color? Or should I re-dye again with L’Oréal HiColor Magenta to get the red back in and then retouch it with Artic Fox before it turns copper? Thank you!

Go in with any direct dye product you like, artic fox, a color mask etc. Use as often as needed to maintain the color. There is no need to go back in with the hicolor unless you desire some lightening. Bear in mind please that with lift comes a degree of damage so the condition of hair will need to be evaluated prior to any lightening service.

@@graceyhaney479 I actually ended up dyeing it again with the hi color because I wasn’t sure what to do, but it quickly faded away. I went to Sally’s and bought ION Hot Red color pigment. It’s a color depositing conditioner. So I wash my hair every 3 days, shampoo, condition and leave conditioner for like 3 mins and then apply the ION conditioner and leave on for 5 mins. I have yet to dye my hair for like 2 months and the color is as vibrant as the first day I dyed it. So far it seems to be working and my hair feels healthy and actually holds styling unlike before when I kept dyeing it with the hicolor once a month. Hope it works for you!!

@@queenkoi thank you! That is what I am doing now I believe. I am using ION hot red color pigment when I wash my hair and it’s still as vibrant as day one and feels way healthier. I was definitely frying my hair dyeing it with the high color every month. I have yet to retouch my roots because I’m liking the dark roots blended with the red but once it’s too noticeable I’ll go in with the hicolor just on the roots. Thank you for your help! I’ve been stuck on this for months lol

Why don't you buy a cape like they use in salons? You can find them pretty cheap and they cover your clothing a lot better. I do like how the color came out.

So I don’t have roots because I’m trying to dye my hair extensions .. they are like a copper ish and want them super red. I bought the hicolor red and magenta …. Can I not use this for extensions 😮‍💨

I wash with lukewarm water!! washing with cold water just leaves my hair feeling unclean by the end of washing. By having the water slightly warm it allows the cuticle of the hair to open and that gives your products a chance to really get in there and do their job. Plus I don’t notice my hair fades any faster or any more than usual if I use luke warm.❤️

@@isaidwhatisaid1722 the redken color magnetics is my fav!! I usually wait until ulta has the BOGO liter sale so I can get the big bottles of shampoo and conditioner for the price of 1. I also use the olaplex shampoo but I only use that once every 4 or 5 washes!

I have had this color for like seven years, yes it stains absolutely everything. If I drip wet hair on anything like my white toilet it stains. The grout in my shower tiles is destroyed and all my pillows are red. Lol. My neck is always red too if I get warm or sweaty. It does come off my clothing though.

You should try a bleach bath before putting any color or magenta :) I have dark hair and my stylist did a bleach bath before my red hair!

I've been dying my hair red for 4 years years now. You definitely want go with a high developer and red hair dye. The artic fox is only for touch ups or if your hair is bleached. She does have another video on how to dye dark hair without bleach, Ive always dyed my hair red without bleach but I can't remember how I very first started when I had dark hair.

Hey there! Next time use a cruelty free /vegan option cause there’s lots of harm that comes to animals with these other companies. I’ve seen the reviews for cruelty free/vegan products and it works well. Just thought I’d let you know because i don’t think people know how brutal the tests conducted are.

QUESTION 🙋🏻‍♀️ I did the hair dye remover but i missed some of my roots should i use the hair dye remover again to get the roots? I also have some spots of my black dyed I was thinking of using the hair dye remover all over my hair again and do video 1 again or should i do video two instead help!!

After every wash, rinsing conditioner with cold water helps give it shine as 8t closes the cuticles & keeps the red in better.

I let someone dyed my hair and it looked red the first day but then after that day it started to fade so fast and now my hair look pinkish. What should I do? I wanted my hair red red and not pinkish red color. Should I add more red dye ? Or any suggestions?😭

I bleached my hair before dying it essentially the same red as you. As someone new to doing their own hair, should I bleach my roots as they grow when I do touch ups? My hair is naturally dark if that matters. I just don’t want to have light red hair with dark red roots but I want to be safe with my hair!

Ik this video is a few months old but I died my hair for the first time about a month ago and only the top of my head is still visibly red with my roots grown out and (obviously) but the rest is almost already brown what do you suggest I do to even it out to the color on the top of my head😭😭 it’s not too bright of a red which i like But Im not sure how to go about to make the rest match
