Ahh I needed to see this! Have a client I’ll be tackling the same thing on in a couple weeks.. needed some formula ideas. Thank you so much for the video! 💕
Holy crap! You did such an amazing job with your clients hair and your video was very thorough as well. Thank you so much for sharing. I want to get my hair done by you now 😭
김세은 thank you soo much! That means a lot to me. Working daily in the salon and shooting videos is not easy!! Thanks for the support!!! And totally come get your hair done!!!!!! 🤪🥰
Very good idea! Who knows what the future has in store!! Thanks for all the love and support, I really appreciate it. Tons of amazing content is on the way. 💞💕
This looks gorgeous Brett. I have a similar job today on a client who has similar box color pigment! I’ll tell you how it goes but I’m now more at ease about it after seeing this. Thank you!!!
Wow you are amazing! I can't agree more I appreciate the hard work and dedication you put in to doing great hair. I am wanting to transition into strawberry blonde from an intense copper and I think hilights are the way to go! 💜💫🌠💝
just to get it ..one more time : you used Color Goldwell Colorance 6A/6N between the babylights . then you used Joico Lumishine Demi Liquid 5N/5NA only for the roots ....how much did you paint...arround 5 cms ? ...then you washed it and toner with Shades EQ 7T-8V-8GN-9P all over the hair ? how long did you let each product ?
Correct Colorance 6N-6A for the paint between on all the hair left out of the foils. Root shadow I did Lumishine 5n-5na equal parts for 10-15 minutes then I rinsed that off and did the shades eq toner at the end all over. I would say the shadow is furthest down in the back I always do a teardrop effect. I’ll have to do a video on this if you’d like. I go further down in the back higher up in the sides and front to give that natural look and not creative any harsh lines.
What do you do in case the client has already gray hairs specially on the roots , do u apply another kind of permanent colour 🤔 thanks for your answers you are really great
@@draprincesa01 awe thank you, and if the client is grey and we need to retouch them i do the paint between with permanent color. That is really the only time I will use permanent is for grey coverage or if a client absolutely requests permanent color.
Love the hair that u did for your client great job❤ I went to get my hair done not happy my hair still looks dark 😔wanted go light I had aburn hair before now looks dark green highlights😔
I am sorry to hear that. You should totally call the stylist who did it and let her know you aren’t happy with it and, you would like it to be fixed! Thanks for the love and support❤️🤗💜
I know I have been through similar crazy situations. They don’t understand how damaging things can be and then when they get some damage it’s YOUR FAULT! Ahhhh. Lol
This is amazing!! My hair looks exactly like hers rn and I’m considering about going blonde... I do like red hair but I also wanna try something new😭my hair is quite dry and damaged so not sure if it can handle all the bleaching sessions🤦🏻♀️
There’s different ways and options to go depending on the health of your hair. Totally look for someone who specializes in color corrections. Good luck with everything!! ❤️
Olaplex also helps. I have red hair and going blonde next week 😍 my hair is also somewhat damaged so my stylist said she wouldn’t do bleach over my whole head to achieve blonde, instead she is going to do a heavy highlight with olaplex
I used to have highlights on virgin hair and dyed it burgundy twice now I’m wanting to go back to blonde highlights and the burgundy now is faded like a brown with red undertones
This is the best way or I would do a second way which is using a color remover do a full platinum card which Is scruples color delete (my favorite color remover. You can just paint it all over the head if you prefer bur I love foils which helps cause of heat conduction. I then shampoo very well once sometimes twice to really get the remover out and when I do this I prefer to use a clarifying shampoo, and then just rinse and leave it DO NOT use conditioner. At least I don’t. I then go on to rough dry her then I do a full highlight all of the hair left out in between the foils I apply a toner all over to counteract the really brassy orange red underlying pigment that was exposed and didn’t make it into a foil! That is a game changer. I hope all these work for you. I do have a video on this. Search for the video on my channel that has *scruples color delete review video* that entire session would be the 2nd option I would do if not this one you just watched. Thanks for watching and supporting. Truly appreciate it!
I’m going from red to blonde but my stylist told me it will be a gradual process where she keeps adding blonde every time I go back so I don’t ruin my hair. I don’t know how many appts it will take to get it the very blonde I want but my next appt June 4 is when we start
I think that’s the best way to do it. If you want I would show her the video or tell her you’d like foils packed back to back as close as possibly minimal subsection so you can get as light as quickly as possible.
No I didn’t stop to remove the lower I rarely ever have to do that abs it took about 2 1/2 hours. This was a couple years ago! When I first started out.
Awe Thank You Soooo Much!!! I am located in Orange County NY in Warwick. about an hour and change north west from the city in the suburbs. I would love to do your hair!!
@@BrettRyanHairArtistry Hi sweet thing :) Wow I thought you lived here in Florida. We are miles apart. But will keep in touch if I go to Warwick. Thanks for replying my previous message. Ciao bello !
@@fendi0067 Aww no I have been to Orlando and Miami soo many times I cannot count but, I am born and raised here in Warwick NY. Stay in touch with me, if you ever come up to NY let me know well set a date and if I ever decide to start teaching classes which I might do one day, I may have a class in Florida and you can come and be my model! haha. Thanks for all the love and support. It means way more to me than you'll ever know.
I love using this even more now as well. I like doing it and find it’s easier cause sometimes when you do two sections working up the back it’s hard on certain foils to fit the width of the hair for some clients, I feel the foils can slip easier, and with this you are getting every part of the back without having to much width of hair on the foil and it just gives a beautiful blended color. I really enjoy doing this. Now I do 2 instead of 3 though it’s just easier! Hope this helps. I’m actually shooting a video on foil placements in particular! Stay tuned! ❤️
Barbara Palomares With a client who has previous Red Box Dye I would then do a color remover of a bleach wash or two. I am not a huge fan of color removers. They can be good in crazy situations but, I’ve noticed it can be sometimes just as harsh as lightener and is just an added step! Hope this helps! Thanks for the love and support!🥰🙏🏻
Barbara Palomares also to add YES I would totally do a baby light to kick out as much pigment as possible. I would do a bleach was or two dry the hair and then do a high light and paint between afterwords. Hope this helps!
Brett Ryan Hair Artistry what box dye would you recommend on red hair after two bleach washes, the hair Turned into an orangy red.(would like to go dark blonde/Light Brown)btw loved the video!
Sofia Viera I am so sorry love but I don’t know anything about box color. I am licensed and use professional color lines only. I wish I could help. Thanks sooo much for the support🙏🏻🙏🏻
So many different ways to tackle it. You can do it the way I did in this video it’s healthiest but, takes a few sessions, or you can go in with a color remover or bleach wash, and get as much of the pigment out as possible and, then do a full highlight and paint between. I did a video on this just two weeks ago and it will be out within the next 2-3 weeks. Stay tuned!🖤😁
I’m about to do something semi similar. I want to shave my head to a point and go from color brillnce red to blonde and I’m so scared. Doing a strand test Tuesday to see what we get
I toned right over top of everything. Remember color that is lighter especially a Demi will not effect anything darker then it. It would have to be a darker color then the level of the red. I hope this makes sense!
Jimena Vega You can show your stylist this video as inspiration or since yours was box dyed try having them use Scruples Color Delete permanent remover first then go in with a full tightly packed highlight and put a paint between cool in between so all the orange and brass is covered up and blended. I hope it all works out for you love. 🙏🏻
It wouldn’t be hard if you know the right stylist who is really good with corrections and stuff. If can be done but multiple steps will totally have to be taken. 🙏🏻
Blonde can totally help blend it better. Remember going lighter or adding some lightness will always help blend the greys/ white hairs way better. It will blend in when you bleach as if it was never grey.
Brett Ryan Hair Artistry That's good to know Brett lol I started plucking them out but i heard you can end up bald! So trying to not do it.. You are a godsend going white for me is not a nice experience for the first time i miss my colour Thanks Brett 👍x
I no longer use it now but when I did I would try to use the dedicated developer but I find it swells wayyy to much. When I use a generic developer it doesn’t swell as much. Hope this helps! 🙏🏻🤗
I want to a salon and wanted my hair change into I have red hair but not to red and she give me to bleach on my hair and the color didn’t came out the why I wanted .please what could I do
I would go to a colorist who says they specialize in color. Have a few consultations with a couple different color specialist and, then end up booking with someone you get a good vibe from and, someone you can tell is going to give you want you want.
This is very common. Just search instagram hashtags of your local or ask friends for recommendations then follow the person and watch them over the next few months and jist do consultations and feel people out. Theres a perfect colorist out there for you!
For the root shadow i used Joico Lumishine Demi permanent liquids. I always love using N's with a little bit of NA to cool down any little bit of brass that transpired during the lift. I think it's good to use a little ash with neutral on the base because it keeps it cool and mute
angie marie Toning is a “technique” not a color or anything. I love toning with demi permanent color and never permanent. If you want to tone to make it more vibrant just use the copper color you want. If you want to tone it out to get rid of it theres a ton of chemistry involved, involving color theory and, the color line you are using. Hope this helped!🙏🏻
Depends on the area, colorist and, many other different factors. I did this client over 2 years ago when I first began and it ended up being 250, now it would totally at least 400 at minimum.
@@BrettRyanHairArtistry I ended up paying over $600 and she used 40 developer on me. She bleached my hair and wanted me to come back 2 weeks later to bleach again. I came back a month later and ended up with very dry broken hair and thin. I asked her about the 40 developer bc I was very worried. She assured me her stuff was very good. I was left with bleach on my hair for over an hour. Now all I could do is keep my hair in a braid and not mess with it as much. Mind you my hair was thick and a little above my butt.😩😭 my hair is so brittle and thin now it tangles and Mattes easily. Thank you for your response.
I am attempting to get back to about a level 5 brown. I was suggested to try un goo from malibu c to start fading the permanent red from pravana in my hair. Do you think this will really help?
A Good idea!!! I am thinking about trying Malibu I have heard AMAZING things about. Let me know what happens, I’d love to hear feedback! Thanks for the support 💞
