Trubolt® Wedge anchors feature a stainless steel expansion clip, threaded stud body, nut and washer. Anchor bodies are made of plated carbon steel, hot-dipped galvanized carbon steel, type 304 stainless steel or type 316 stainless steel as identified in the drawings or other notations. The exposed end of the anchor is stamped to identify anchor length. Stampings should be preserved during installation for any subsequent embedment verification. The following video is a tutorial on how to install a Red Head Trubolt anchor.

Well trying to figure out why mine just spins around in the hole I used the size bit it recommended on packaging 😢

Way to show someone how to mess up an anchor. If you run the nut down further and use the hammer drills hammer feature it will work correctly and save you the aggravation of having a useless anchor. This video shows you how gall and bind up a nut though.

I hammered my 1st two like you did with nuts on and it ruined them. Next 2 I left nuts off and they were fine. I'm going to have to find a way to cut all 4 off at cement and start over in a new location. Wish I didn't watch your video, it caused me a lot of work and will cause a lot more.

did you use a metal head hammer or a rubber head hammer?

Thanks. In video it looks like he didn't put the nut on far enough.... as if hammering would be causing the nut to damage the threads. They add that extra metal above the threads to protect them so it's hard to picture what happened in your case.

Are you hitting the nut? I did it this way and the nut seized to the bolt and wouldnt spin. Im going to grind the whole thing off.

One of my screws started bending when hammering. And on another one the threads messed up when I was hammering with the nut at the end of the screw. I wasn't even hammering that hard. Any tips?

Make sure that the nut is a thread or two down so that the hammer isn't accidentally contacting it. Also make the hole at least 1/4 to 1/2 inch longer than needed. Most of them say at least 1/2 inch longer.
