That triplet at 3:38 is insane! I usually just play a slap dead note instead of the second pop note because it's easier but damn it's still a hard move to pull off.
a few years ago in my old school some 11/12 year old kids played this, they had a little band and i always heard them practicing, they were awsome! they played this in assembly and everytime i hear this song it reminds me of them, i wonder if they're still a band🤔
@@mightypopkornDon’t give up man, me and some random guys from school made a band together and we’re all 16, and we’re currently on the way to playing our first performance at school so don’t rush it just get good at what you do.
@@TRCNugget yeah bro, i'm 13 now and i just got into a band, tomorrow we would play a song for the first time. Even though the other bandmates were older than me it's not a problem. But one thing is that i'm the lead guitarist and they didn't know i don't have an electric guitar, only acoustic so it may be awkward when i ask them how to make my guitar sounds distorted in the studio they would think like "you mean you don't have an electric guitar and going to be the lead guitarist?" But i'll show them i can also plays the electric guitar, i've played with an electric once for just like 20 minutes and it was one of the best experience of my life. Anyways thanks bro
@@mightypopkorn No problem dude, and I would recommend getting an electric as soon as possible, or seeing if the other band mates have one you can borrow for now because they make a huge difference. Also worry more about getting a good amp rather than a good guitar.
*Hot girl: "awesome... what can you play on your bass?* *Me: "I can play the first 52 seconds of Can't Stop by Red Hot Chili Peppers.."* And that's the story of how I got laid.....
Ya made a mistake fam. At 3:27-3:30, the tab says to play 14 12 10 12 but instead he plays 12 10 8 10. It's all a lie guys. How can we trust this boi again. One of his most popular vids incorrect! I can't believe I was a fan! Jk I don't really care. I thought it would be cool to point out. Plz put out more covers! Love ur work
That's what I'm doing. I learned Chop Suey and Californication in a couple days. Also learned Californication and Like a stone on guitar from this channel. Just keep practicing :D
After i hear all the "hidden" basslines in any Song, i Start to appreciate them waaaaay more, like, i love can't stop by RHCP, but after that video i love it 100 times more
These are the best bass tab videos on RU-vid. What sets you apart is that the rhythm is notated which makes it sooooo much easier to learn the fast/difficult sections. Thanks!
Un grand merci de france!!! Ca aide plus que ce qu'on cherche ;) Encore merci !!! (Surtout que des covers bass y'en a pas beaucoup encore moins de cette qualitée.)
i just bought a bass, im getting slightly tired of noob riffs of music we dont actually listen to... now i come to learn this song and it just seems insane, i know it's like a medium difficulty song and even if you can reach and play the notes, memorising their order to play them at speed is crazy. imagine those crazy pro bassists that can just hear a riff and play it. just let that sink in for a minute if you feel my struggle
I find it really hard to get the rhythm right when I try playing all of the mute notes along with it :((( Issa struggle , i can’t even tell what the rhythm of some of the mute even are, even with the tab
Think of your bass as a drumset. Slaps are the kickdrum, pops are the snare. Then listen to the song. Then just slap everytime you hear a kick, and pop everytime you hear the snare drum. Get a feeling for the beat of the song. Then start adding the notes and embellishments, one by one. If you are new to slap, try "Higher Ground" by RHCP as a first song. It is definitely easier to figure out Flea's style with that song. But once you have his groove down, learning their other songs isn't that hard :)
Muchas gracias, siempre había tocado esa canción de oído y de forma muy improvisada. Muy detallada y clara la tablatura y puff como lo clavas! Mil gracias por tu curro :D
Nice. Your a master. I'm 42 when I was young I was a decent guitarist but picked up a bass to find that I was a natural bassist. Higher ground. Under the bridge, Backwoods. Taste the pain. Knock me down. John's first rocking entrance to the band. I miss his hard rock days. But I still love the band. I just got out of prison after surgerys led to opiate addiction. My 4 string fender. My 5 str Ibanez erg. And fender strat guitar. Tube bass and fender guitar lamps all gone my family sold and trashed my stuff waited for me to come home to tell me. That's all I had left.
I got really busy with school and then started to do my nails longer and longer and at this point my bass is just sitting in the corner. This cover really reminded me how much I miss playing it. Thank you. I'd say my time with long nails (as wonderful as it was) is over. I stopped playing so many instruments because of them
I had to slow down the video to figure it out. The easiest way I found to do it is to place both your index and middle fingers underneath the G string at the same time and pull your whole hand out at an angle from your wrist.
Wondering forever why certain notes would always ring or just not sound right, until I started watching the fretting hand. My muting game is hella weak, but I'm working on it
