Foo Fighters said in an interview once that while they were on tour with the peppers during californication tour, Chad would be so wasted before getting on stage and still kill it on the drums and they said they had no idea how he could do it.
yeah chad is so underrated he never caused problems for the band, didn't temporarily quit or anything, he was always there just doing his job and more... thank you chad for being awesome
That's very true, I can't think of a bad situation for the band that was Chad's fault or flea's for that matter, it's always Anthony forgetting lyrics or john leaving the band, but man, even with that I love both of them, this is my favorite band.
@@roger_001John leaving the band the second time could be considered Flea's fault somehow because he wanted the band to take a break for an indefinite amount of time and then changed his mind two years into the hiatus. John was going through a period when he really wanted to enjoy a normal life and create his own stuff and was just not ready to get back touring the world for 150+ shows back to back. I'm not blaming Flea, I absolutely love all of them and the Chili Peppers is my favorite band ever since I was a kid. But the truth is that it's not just as simple as John woke up one day and decided to leave the band. Just as it's not like the band simply decided to bring John back and kicked Josh back solely because of that. There are always details we'll never know, just like in any random family.
i think a reason why this band is so good is that they compliment each other when they play and i dont mean verbally. everyones part fits in perfectly to create AWESOMENESS!
The last solo is the best one I have ever listened to in all my life. Better than confortably numb, fade to black and stairway to heaven, which are other amazing ones.

I think the fact that's it's not one of their singles and one of their promo songs make it even more epic. Because this way, it's like a more personal thing and it has more of a message and it's more individualized. Hence, makes it way more fucking cooler :D
I agree that without chad in this performance, the song would have been carried in whole different way and the solo at the end always gives me chills I mean just look at john when he's playing it it's mesmerizing
@@TheRubberMatch Chad is always epic. He leads the band, keeping the tempo in order. It might not sound much. But when you play in a band with a bass and guitar players like Flea and Frusciante- who likes to improvise a lot, and not only you can hold on your own, but to be able to dictate the band's performance, that's very impressive. And I believe that was the main reason why they hired him in the first place.
Blood Sugar has my favorite songs, but this album is so awesome. Frusciante returning was just what they needed. When Californication came out, I listened to it several times a day for 3 straight weeks. It was just that good!

Holy SHIIIIOT! What toe-tapper live there is so much energy. The whole band is rockin' out! Frusciante's solo here is my favorite, I think I replayed the solo a million times by now which is not enough considering the magnitude of it all!
@inael even if you could find all that talent in every member of a band, no band could emulate how well the chili's know each others style and how well they work together on and off stage. their improv is proof of that. legendary, enough said.

One of the best performance... and there's only one thing why I LOVE Red Hot Chili Peppers it's like husband and wife = 2 in 1... but it's even more complicated there are 4 in 1. none of them are better or loser than the other one but yet they know that they need each other to become one body.
