It IS all-analog (AAA). It is superb. ALL U.S. masterings for LP were done by Steve & Kevin. Their work is perfection, and this album was made for audiophiles, not slammin' bass subwoofers. Of course, you can play it that way, but LP is the way to go! $40
Hi all, I just tried tidal for the first time recently. Of course they have 'master' quality tracks. I saw there was a 2014 remaster version as well as the 2006 version. I used to have the SA vinyl, as well as a couple of the SA singles on vinyl...so I Know the sound. I have only listened briefly on my phone speaker, but noticed the guitar solo on especially in Michigan is the vinyl version! Whether that means similar sound quality I don't yet know. According to the man who mastered the vinyl, he was not responsible for this version. I have not found any other information about it. I have a hi-res music player and a nice amplifier arriving in the courier soon, so will give it a listen. Tidal 'master' tracks take a lot of my phone data of course. They have a remastered Californication, but it's not the 2013 version.
I did, I love it. And having it on vinyl like this is kind of cool because if I don't have time to listen to the entire thing I can put on a side or two, and hear 3-6 songs or so. A little snack of RHCP in between meals.
Yeah most chili pepper albums are not made for vinyl it is annoying having to flip it every 15 minutes or so because most of their albums are 60 minutes or so
